Beautiful and large independent apartment with private garden and breathtaking sea view located inside an ancient historic villa that directly overlooks the beach of Bagnaia. It comprises entrance hall, living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and spread over several levels connected by stairs. Minimum stay 7 nights starting on Saturday.
The house enjoys a unique position on the Bagnaia beach. I'm sure you will like it because:
- has an independent private garden cared for by the caretaker;
- in the garden there is a terrace equipped with a large wooden pergola, chairs, dining table and deck chairs, barbecue, outdoor shower;
- all the windows and the garden directly overlook the sea;
- the beach can be reached directly from the villa via direct private access with a shower near the gate.
The house can be reached via a pedestrian path and stairs at the end of which you will find a private access gate to the completely fenced property.

Apartment in villa with great views and delightful garden
This apartment in a historic villa overlooking the beach of Bagnaia is beautifully kept and obviously loved by the owners. The living room and two big bedrooms all have panoramic views over the beach and bay. The kitchen is adequate although lacking a dish washer.
The second bathroom, reached through the kitchen, is tiny but functional.
The garden is a great plus and the view from the shady pergola is lovely. We ate all our meals and spent a lot of time in this pleasant shady outdoor area. The neighbours have an adjoining terrace which, luckily, they made very little use of when we were there; if they had used it more I imagine they could be too close for comfort.
Many houses on the island have inadequate water supplies. Villa Cacciò is an exception because of its own well, but the water has an unpleasant ferrous smell and shouldn't be used for cooking.
The beach and town are just below the apartment. The beach is stony, but the water is usually perfectly clean. This part of the bay is semi-enclosed and feels like a lake. There is adequate free public parking close by and Bagnaia is as good a base as any from which to explore the island.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in Villa Cacciò.
Generally the supply of water is never enough on Isola d'Elba during the summer; Villa Cacciò, however, has its own well that meets the needs of the guests. The water has a slight smell of iron (Portoferraio = iron port) but a purifier improves the water. Next year (2019) the installation of a new and more powerful water purifier is planned and the problem will be definitively resolved.
