Beautiful Home On Gently Sloping Point Lot With 500 Feet Of Private Waterfront

***Cleaning Update: We are now doing a deep cleaning/sanitization between reservations. We are sanitizing all high touch surfaces and steam cleaning the furniture between each rental. Although guests provide their own linens, we are replacing the comforters and mattress pads between each reservation. This cleaning takes additional time and costs more, but we feel it is necessary to protect our renters.

Watch the Sunrise through the Lakeside Wall of Windows, Fish off the Dock, Grill on the Large Deck, Sit Around the Stone Fire Pit or just Lounge in the Hammock. This home rests on a beautiful point lot and has everything you need to enjoy the lake in a cozy rustic atmosphere with all the modern conveniences you've come to enjoy.

The kitchen is Fully Stocked. There are TV's in each Bedroom. There are 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, Laundry, and Rec Room with Foosball Table. Please bring your own sheets and towels. Comforters and Pillows are provided.

The Location is perfect by land and by boat. This cottage is in a Large Cove between the Bridge and State Park. 10 minutes by car or boat will get you just about anywhere you want to go.

Amazingly peaceful and quiet! The home was beautiful and just a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. We especially loved sitting on the brand-new docks in the mornings and evenings, and the campfire spot by the water was perfect. A wonderful stay all around! Highly recommend!

We had a restful and reflective stay at this beautiful home on the water. How delightful to be so close to the water and feel like you’re staying in a treehouse, under a canopy of trees. This is a one of a kind property!

Stellar Stay at SML

Many thanks to Kim and Cameron! This cottage has been beautifully updated, lots of conveniences (my college-kids loved the wifi connection) and super clean! The pictures are accurate, the mattresses super comfortable and very private. We took full advantage of the screened in porch (even though the bugs were not that bad during our stay) and the weber grill. This location is great. Not far to the dam for great fishing (by boat) and close to local wineries and restaurants for those rainy days. This is a great stay!

Week at the Lake

After having to cancel a tent trip due to bad weather, we found this gem. The weather was still horrible but it turned out ok. The house is beautifully decorated with high ceilings, has a fantastic view, a screened in porch to enjoy while the rain was coming down, and foosball!!! We had to leave a day early due to a big storm came through and knocked the power out. We contacted the host and they were great about it. Only drawback was we had to bring our own sheets/towels. That was a first for us.

Fantastic property, decent house

I'd give the location 4 stars and the house 3 stars. First the location: the peninsula and cove that the house sit on are so quiet and peaceful it felt like a private island at times. I could sit on that deck and look at that view all day -- in fact I did a few times. The property is nicely separated from the rest of the neighborhood, which itself is very charming. We saw many deer on our evening walks around the neighborhood. Walking is challenging with the hills but if you're up for it it's a great area. It's also a short drive to the Food Lion and to a couple of wineries, and only 15 minutes or so from the state park. The house itself, while very functional, had a few minor maintenance issues which the owner promises to address (small things like inoperable lights & loose fixtures). It's cozy, with very small kitchen and bathrooms. The TVs worked great. The deck, grill, and fire pit are all very good. The beds are comfortable. The dock is usable but small and a little bit run down. There is a hammock and a couple of swing-chairs, and plenty of outdoor seating space. The grounds on the lake side of the property are mostly bare dirt and could really use some grass or ground cover. I should also note that this house is more affordable than a lot of other waterfront properties of the same size. Overall we had a very pleasant stay owing mostly to the great location. With a little bit of work on some minor issues the house could easily be brought up to the same high standard.

The long weekend was not long enough. You cannot beat the location of this home being on a wonderful wide cove hidden from the boat traffic on the main lake. Location is everything for a waterfront home, and here you have the best being on a large point. It's not often you see a home with two docks. Evenings were calming chilling around the large stone fire pit. The house is well laid out with numerous upgrades. This is a home we will again visit!!

We had a great stay. Check-in was smooth. Kitchen was well stocked. House was as described. The new docks were lovely. (We only really used the swimming dock). There were great steps to get onto the dock. The house had clearly been checked to make sure everything was in working order right before we got there. So much so that we got a call to ask if the Paddle boards that were on the dock we ours. (Yes we had them delivered). I had a couple of questions related to a sign on one of the docks, and we got a response within a couple of minutes. Screened-in porch was amazing-the fan really helped on 95days. Everything went so smoothly.

Very nice Lakeside House

The house has an amazing location, felt very private but yet close enough drive to shops and restaurants. The lake water was very clean, and the large dock with table and chairs and floating dock with ladder is perfect place to enjoy it from. The house has a nice open feel to it, very well maintained and good appliances.

Beauty and Relaxation

The property was absolutely everything we’ve been looking for, for 4yrs. The house was perfect, clean and the kitchen was amazing to cook in. I’ve never felt so at home. The kids played in The lake without any problems and loved every minute of all the animals surrounding. Bald eagle, deer, fish, ducks and even a box turtle out the front door. Thank you for a dream getaway, we’ve already planned our next stay!!

The house was nicely situated on a point with seating around a fire pit, an open deck, and a screened porch. Lovely views of the water, a dock with a ladder for swimming, and a clean, comfortable house made for a lovely stay.

Perfect Vacation Spot at SML

This property is located in a cove which is ideal for water sports. On top of that, the property is at the edge of an inlet in the cove so there isn't any boat traffic going past the property to the left or right. The property itself is exactly as advertised with all amenities included as per the description. Our family had a great week and are going to book this property again. Lake stay

Fabulous time at the lake and such a great house with a fabulous location! We loved the cove- it was perfect for letting the kids swim & we rented a boat for a few days & tried out tubing & kneeboarding! The kids had a blast! The house was perfect for our family & the kitchen had everything we needed, the grill was great too! Don’t hesitate to book this house if you’re looking for a private, perfect spot to relax.
