As your hosts, we are so excited for your upcoming adventure at the Cabin. You will have immediate feelings of relaxation and adventure as soon as you book your get-a-way. Just 10 minutes off highway 299 you will find that the cabin is situated in a private setting in a beautiful historic town of Lewiston, Ca. You can enjoy many amenities here. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an open floor plan, a large custom dining table, seating on the deck, comfortable and cozy sleeping arrangements. There are a bedroom and a full bathroom on each level of the cabin as well as a fully equipped laundry room. You will have necessary amenities including, towels, soap, toilet paper, bedding, and internet access. You can enjoy a short walk to view the river or a very short drive to full access to the river. Often we see wildlife right on the property and it is a beautiful sight to see. Once we were enjoying an evening on the deck with family and a group of 7 bucks came walking by. Yes, it was amazing! The living space features tall vaulted ceilings, a couch and two overstuffed chairs with ottomans, a gas fireplace, a 60 inch LCD Tv with DVD player (please bring or rent movies at the local general store in Lewiston) and many large windows for natural lighting. Also, overlooks the exquisite deck the wraps half way around the cabin. The Kitchen shows off its beautiful granite counter tops and hardwood flooring. There are stainless steel appliances including the fridge (brand new, may not show in photos) gas stove, the trash compactor, the dish washer and the microwave. All amenities, including pots and pans, baking items, cookie sheets, plates, cups, mugs, forks, spoons, knives, a grater, a chopper, a coffee maker, a blender, cutting board, storage containers (please do not take home), foil and cleaning supplies. The kitchen also features plenty of space in the pantry cabinets. Enjoy these amenities by bringing your food and dining in. Plus, you get to enjoy the beautiful log dining table we made ourselves with live edges and our own custom design. The kitchen opens up into the living room and dining area. The Dining room and Living room can lead you to the Deck on the second story. The deck offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere. We have arranged an outdoor seating area with a comfortable love seat, two chairs and a coffee table along with a separate table and chairs for enjoying meals, coffee, games etc. The stairs leading up to the deck from outside the cabin can often be slippery, please use caution. Please do not wear your studded wading (fishing) boots on the deck. The Master bedroom is located on the 3rd story and has a Posterpedic CalKing mattress. It also features two leather chairs for reading, chatting and relaxing with a cup of tea. There is plenty of storage with a dresser and long closets to hang your clothing/gear. Please note: we may have some things in the closets. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with two sinks, an oversized 'open' shower and a beautiful tub. The toilet is separated by a door. The middle bedroom has a Queen size bed with the fun fishing decor. It features two large windows and a walk in closet (here you will find two twin air mattresses). It also has a chest dresser as well as an overstuffed leather chair for you to enjoy. The first story has a separate room that has two queen beds and can sleep four comfortably. New flooring and two large windows. Please note, we are mid updating so some of the baseboards are not finished yet and some odds and ends. Outside the room, you will find a private toilet, a shower with just a glass door for privacy but please note, it is open, a sink with storage and a fully equipped laundry room. This can also act as the 'Mud Room' by entering in from the garage. The garage will likely have a boat in it along with some fishing gear and items for the cabin. Please let us know if you expect to need the space in the garage. The property is beautiful and often times you will see wildlife. Please keep it tidy as sometimes it can bring in that wildlife. The property is about 1 acre of level ground and the other 1.5 acres is on steep terrain. Please stay on the flat piece surrounding and up to the private roads. Plenty of room to play outdoor games and for entertainment. The water comes from a well and we had it tested for safe drinking. It is safe to drink, however, we recommend bringing up water for drinking but totally up to you. Summer months tends to bring a lot of iron and material up through the pipes pending availability of a new filter instal please expect this.
Guest access You have access to the whole cabin along with the level property around the cabin with the exception of garage space at times. Please let us know if you may need this space and we will do our best to accommodate. Please note: We run a fishing guide business and there may be a boat in the garage as well as fishing gear. Do not touch nor expect to use this gear for obvious reasons, thank you.
Guest interaction Please feel free to give us a call or text. We both run full-time jobs so we will respond as soon as possible, if not right away. However, there will be a binder for our guests that will have a ton of information for you at the cabin. Please feel free to ask/book with our fishing guide business. We are happy to fully accommodate our guests. Group fishing is welcome with advance notice.

What an awesome stay! The house is as described, owners were very communicative & detailed and the house is very clean and cozy. The location is exceptional and is not too far from the Lewiston Hotel if you’d like to get out for a cocktail/beer and some food. We will definitely stay here again!
Such a great and relaxing place to stay. We were working at Trinity River. The cabin was an awesome place to rest and enjoy nature. The weather was perfect and the extending dining table was a nice surprise. I highly recommend anyone wanting to getaway from the busy city.

Thanks so much Rhonda! We were happy to have you. Thanks for choosing us. (Ps, we have a fishing guide business if that interests you for next time) :) Thanks again!
We enjoyed three nights at the Lewiston cabin over Fathers Day weekend. The cabin was clean and comfortable, just as advertised. It was very comfortable for two couples. The guys fished in the nearby river a couple days, but no luck. We also drove to nearby Lewiston Lake and put the kayaks in the water. Very peaceful. The owners provided all the info we needed for a nice stay.

Thank you so much for your kind review! So happy you enjoyed your families Father’s Day weekend at the lewiston cabin.
Quiet and very private, this comfy house is just a short drive to the Trinity River and Lewiston Lake, where there is excellent fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing opportunities. Saw a ton of deer, osprey, skunks, and even a couple of snakes. We spent a lot of time relaxing, cooking, and playing games, and loved exploring the charming little towns of Lewiston and nearby Weaverville. Everyone we met was so friendly, and our hosts were very responsive to all our comments and questions. We hope to be able to visit again some time!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We hope to have you back again soon.
My son and I had a wonderful trip and the house was perfect. Very comfortable and a great location House is all updated and gives you the comfort you have and your own home. I will be renting this house again in the future.
Beautiful three story cabin set at the end of a private dirt road would be perfect three couples to share. There is a beautiful deck to relax and watch deer. Each story has a bedroom and bathroom. Central location to enjoy Weaverville, Trinity River and Lewiston areas.
Beautiful 3 story home with lots of room. Very clean and nicely furnished. Love the wrap around porch which made a great place to BBQ. Love the herd of deer who make their way past the house. .
This cabin absolutely Gorgeous ! Very impressive how this house is designed. Each floor has its own bedroom that gives you your own privacy .Very clean quite tuck away in a private friendly community . With prefect distance from each neighbor . The lake is just minutes away . We caught five beautiful trout at Lewiston lake . You have to stop by the diner and order one of there delicious hamburgers and potatoes salad . It’s about 15 minute drive from the cabin . Delicious!!!!! Thank you Michelle and Aron for allowing my family to enjoy your beautiful mountain cabin .
The hosts were responsive and helpful! Check in was very easy!
This property is very light, spacious, cozy and luxurious! It is on a large piece of property surrounded by trees so you feel like you are all alone in the woods! The beds were comfortable and the showers and large soaking tub were wonderful! This is very modern updated cabin. The kitchen was well stocked. The heating was easy to control. The ceiling fans on low, helped keep the heat from staying up in the vaulted ceilings. The deck was so nice to relax on and watch many deer. The propane BBQ worked very well. They have a small assortment of DVD’s and lots of board games.
The not so positive: the fireplace does not work! So bummed! The noise drifts all the way up to the 3rd floor. Well water even though it’s drinkable, tastes salty and very mineral like and often smelled like sulfur. We brought our own water. We also didn’t enjoy having to do so much cleaning before we left : do a load of towels- wash and dry, vacuum, clean all the dishes and run the dishwasher, put the garbage out by the curb, leave the house as clean as it was when you arrived...why is there a cleaning fee if you have to clean it all yourself?
Even still, we would go back again cuz it was so nice! The location was wonderful too. There are a few small markets in town (the one by the gas station has the most selection). We ordered out at the Mountain Valley Grill - decent food but not remarkable.
We hiked around Lewiston Lake and it was spectacular (mostly wooded on the southern end, mostly open on the northern end) and saw 2 bald eagles! We encountered very few people.
Also hiked to the Wiskeytown 200+ft cascade of falls - the hike was beautiful! Lots of people though and small parking area w bathrooms.
Also hiked around Trinity Lake. Beautiful views of the Trinity Alps and wooded.
Such an amazing wilderness area, mostly untouched by fires. Great getaway for stillness and peace!
The house was modern and very clean. We visited during a heat spell so the AC was a very welcome feature.

Thank you! It does get toasty this time of year and we sure are thankful for the a/c. We also just got it serviced after your stay for its yearly maintenance. Thank you for your review, Sam. Hope to have you back again.
We spent the 4th of July week-end in Michelle and Aaron property. It was really as described, even if the bathroom on the last floor does not allow a lot of intimacy. The property was cleaned, well-equipped in the kitchen as well as in the bathrooms with plenty of towels. Communication with Michelle was always fast and easy. We appreciated that they always tried to accommodate us, with a lot of kindness.
We will definitely go back if we have the chance.
Hi There! Thanks for checking out our Cabin!! We love that we can share our home with you during your vacation/time away. (Please see our reviews on Airbnb) We met on a blind date and dated for nearly 10 years before we got married in 2012. It's a fun story! He proposed to me after I caught a beautiful steelhead. It's on youtube too if you want to check it out: You Tube > Fly Fishing Engagement.
We are an avid outdoors family and pretty much love everything. We just welcomed our baby girl into this world in June 2017. Outside of work we spend most of our time hunting and fishing. We love, love to travel and do it as much as possible. Our most recent trips have been to Hawaii for our Babymoon ( a must if you are about to welcome your baby into the world), Honduras, where we fly fished for tarpon, bone fish and permit along with zip lining, enjoying the beach and many activities. Another is Baja where we chased Rooster Fish down the beach with our fly rods, oh so much fun, along with enjoyed quading, eating amazing food and relaxed! We are always looking forward to our next adventures. We also enjoy listening to music, watching a movie, playing board games, dancing, entertaining and being with our family and friends!
For work, I run our business from home and am a full time Mom as well as do property management and Aaron, my Husband is in the field running our business as a Hunting and Fishing Guide and Instructor. We are located here in NorCal so it makes it so nice to have the cabin near the Trinity River since he is guiding it October-March every year. And YES, please feel free to ask about guided fishing during your stay if you are interested.
We are a very fun family and we love to relax and enjoy life's beauty. We feel we bring that fun, relaxing country style out in our cabin.
