Four bedroom lodge -  Sleeps 10 -  Pet friendly lodge. 

Hillside lodge is the perfect place for groups to come together, whether that's hen groups, special birthday celebrations, friends or families taking a break away to enjoy each others company. With the spacious open plan living area with dining and seating for 10, its great for entertaining. With a large seating area for 10 outside and your own private hot tub, makes a great place to chill and socialise.

The shared seasonal outdoor pool is a great place to come together, relax and soak up the sun. Tor Farm is a perfect place to explore the surrounding area for walks with your loved ones (including those four pawed).

- Check-in between 3-7pm on day of arrival, contactless check in available for late check ins please advise at booking
- Check out 10am except on Sundays when check out is extended to 3pm.
- For group bookings of 10 or more - please ring to discuss before booking online
- We ask that there should be no loud noise be it from voices or music outside after 10pm, so as not to disturb other residents who wish to be quiet. If you are using the hot tub, be aware that noise travels in the still of the night, so please respect other guests who are here for a peaceful break away from it all

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

A fantastic property and great location. Such a lovely stay- we all really enjoyed ourselves and would absolutely book again. Karen was great and on hand for anything you needed. We loved that you could purchase fresh eggs. Facilities were great and didn’t need anything! Kids loved the pool and the hot tub was great too.

The property is in a lovely setting nice and quiet and we weren’t disturbed at all. Easy check in process and nice spacious communal area. Only negatives was that there were no baking trays and only 2 bin bags provided but we went and bought some more.

Hillside lodge was amazing !

Really great place to stay for large group get together, we had 6 adults and 4 kids staying at one point and it didn’t feel crowded at all! The place was really clean and the grounds and amenities were really excellent. We met one of the hosts and he was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to everyone to go for. A stay ! Lovely and quiet and a great base for day trips to cheddar, wells and only an hour or so the coast and Bristol.

Great place, particularly for a group

The property is nestled in the pretty countryside and is very peaceful. The lodge was impeccably clean, warm and comfortable. There was plenty of space for six adults from four different households, occupying four double rooms and the large dining table allowed us to gather round and play cards and board games. We were very impressed.

Celebration weekend for a group of 10

The property was amazing , true to its pictures . Immaculate and had everything you needed for a great weekend . Plenty of towels , crockery and toiletries. Hot tub and swimming pool were nice and clean . The host , Karen , was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her . The late checkout on a Sunday was a great bonus . We will defo be returning .

A lovely luxury lodge!

We had a fabulous 4 night stay in this lovely lodge. So impressed with the standard of accommodation. Everything was finished to a very high standard. Plenty of room for lounging together, also having a TV in each room meant you could chill away from the group as well. The wood burner was lovely and we did light it although the lodge was really warm & cosy without it. The outdoor space was perfect especially the hot tub & sun beds. The location was peaceful and so pretty. We visited the shared outdoor pool which I imagine is really popular on a summers day. Access to the property via a single track road in both directions was sometimes tricky with the odd tractor passing by but to be expected for the area. Not far from Cheddar which was lovely to walk around & see the sights. Would highly recommend & book again in the future. Thank you Karen & Brian.

Great family get together

We had a fantastic stay for our annual family get together. The lodge is fantastic, loads of space and kitted out to a high spec. The hot tub was of course a great addition and heated to a lovely temperature. Karen was super responsive and very quick to pop tea towels and oven gloves in which had got missed at the last changeover. Located in a great spot down a country lane - climbing the hill opposite is a must if you can, amazing views!

Lovely holiday

Just got home from a week at hillside and we’re already wanting to come back and stay again, the area/walks are rural and just countryside, very peaceful, the lodge is modern and luxury, it was 19degrees nearly everyday and sunbathing in the garden on the sun loungers felt like we was abroad it was a proper sun trap! comfy big bed and a really spacious living/kitchen area! We will 100% be coming back all u can hear is birds chirping and farm animals so peaceful!

Brian and Caroline Ladd, both in their sixties, have lived at Tor Farm for 33 years and originally farmed the land. They have brought up 4 children who all left home and now have 8 grandchildren to enjoy. For the last 24 years they have offered B&B in the farmhouse, but now want to take things a little quieter, and are just offering 9 holiday cottages, so that they can spend more time with their family. Their main interests are gardening, playing bridge and touring Britain in their caravan.

Why they chose this property

We originally bought the land, the holiday cottages now stand on in 1985, when it was a dairy farm. We have farmed for many years until it was no longer viable, and decided to turn the old farm yard, and farm house in to luxury self catering holiday accommodation. We still live on site, so we can welcome new arrivals, and sort out any concerns or problems guests may have.

You can enjoy the countryside from your own door step. Private hot tubs to massage away everyday stresses. Car parking close to accommodation. Shared heated swimming pool to exercise in or just relax on the terraces. 4 lodges dog friendly. Walk your dogs down the quiet country lane outside the cottage. Close to Cheddar Gorge, Longleat Safari Park and the coast.
