Somerset Lodge is a luxury lodge with hot tub located at Tor Farm, nestled at the base of  Nyland Hill, in the rural Somerset countryside, close to Cheddar Gorge. A perfect place to explore the surrounding area for walks with your loved ones (including those four pawed).

Perfect for couples, families and friends wishing to get together in a beautiful rural location. With your own private hot tub and barbeque station to relax and socialise around with the shared seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool adding to your tranquil break away.

- For 2 people or less 2nd bedroom will be locked for duration on stay. If both bedrooms - required please select 3 or more guests at booking.
- Lodge suitable for dogs, please select option on booking form
- Please advise at booking if 2nd bedroom is to be king bed, if not requested in advance default will be twin beds
- Check-in between 3-7pm on day of arrival, contactless check in available, with late arrivals please contact to arrange.
- Check-out 10am, except on Sundays when check out is extended to 3pm.
- Smoking not permitted within the lodges
- For group bookings of 5 or more - please ring or email to discuss before booking online
- We ask that there should be no loud noise be it from voices or music outside after 10pm, so as not to disturb other residents who wish to be quiet. If you are using the hot tub, be aware that noise travels in the still of the night, so please respect other guests who are here for a peaceful break away from it all

A relaxing getaway

We had a lovely time relaxing in this beautiful part of Somerset, we went out on a couple of day trips but our main objective was to get away and relax from a stressful job and life which this holiday done for us. Great place for peace and quiet and my wife enjoyed having the hot tub and swimming pool so near to hand.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my 40th birthday. The hot tub was a highlight star gazing and warming up after watching the starlings murmuration. Highly recommend the Swan in Wedmore for food. Thank you for a memorable birthday shared with friends.

Loved it and can't wait to go again

Very relaxing 5 days with my partner and two dogs. The Lodge is very well equipped and very clean. Great shower. Very quiet area. Beautiful sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the stars. Will definitely be going again.

This is a great place to stay. Very well made, really nicely done and in a great location. Hot tub was lovely and perfectly situated outside the patio door from the bedroom. Very impressed. Really clean and well maintained. Close to plenty of locations such as the cheddar gorge and weston supermare. Scenery is fantastic and very peaceful. Made to feel welcome. Loved it.

Easter getaway

We had a great time in somerset lodge at Tor farm. We stayed for 3 nights over the Easter holidays as a family of 3 and our dog. The location was perfect just a 10 minute drive to Cheddar and 20 minutes to Wells. The lodges are clean, warm and spacious with everything you need in kitchen. The hot tub was lovely and a good size, this was a hit with our 8 year old. The lodge has its own little private garden and decking area with the hot tub and bbq area. It was extremely peaceful and quite, which was exactly what we were after. We will definitely come back again.

Brian and Caroline Ladd, both in their sixties, have lived at Tor Farm for 33 years and originally farmed the land. They have brought up 4 children who all left home and now have 8 grandchildren to enjoy. For the last 24 years they have offered B&B in the farmhouse, but now want to take things a little quieter, and are just offering 9 holiday cottages, so that they can spend more time with their family. Their main interests are gardening, playing bridge and touring Britain in their caravan.

Why they chose this property

We originally bought the land, the holiday cottages now stand on in 1985, when it was a dairy farm. We have farmed for many years until it was no longer viable, and decided to turn the old farm yard, and farm house in to luxury self catering holiday accommodation. We still live on site, so we can welcome new arrivals, and sort out any concerns or problems guests may have.

What makes this property unique

You can enjoy the countryside from your own door step. Private hot tubs to massage away everyday stresses. Car parking close to accommodation. Shared heated swimming pool to exercise in or just relax on the terraces. 4 lodges dog friendly. Walk your dogs down the quiet country lane outside the cottage. Close to Cheddar Gorge, Longleat Safari Park and the coast.
