We open the doors to our stylish pied-a-terre. This ground-level flat with private entrance welcomes you to the heart of Edinburgh's New Town UNESCO World Heritage site, but is mere footsteps from cosmopolitan George St. or the delights of Stockbridge.
Completely reworked to an exemplary standard by a dedicated team with an unflinching eye for quality and detail. The brief: to meld modern flair and convenience with the quiet elegance and discreet grandeur of its Georgian past. This philosophy has enabled us to place every home comfort against a backdrop of restored sash windows, cast iron radiators, lavish paneling, quality ironmongery and indulgent plaster cornicing.

This property is outstanding! It was beyond our expectations and like a five star hotel in a really nice area of Edinburgh. We appreciated the welcoming food basket, wine, and the change of linens partway through our stay so we didn’t have to worry about doing laundry. The owners are friendly and accommodating.

We had a wonderful 6 day stay at this property, amenities were exceptional and communication with the owners was very good. Pictures were accurate and the place was stocked with everything you need and was very comfortable. One of the nicest VRBO’s we have stayed in.

A perfect flat

My wife and I stayed in this flat for 5 nights. We have stayed in 7 Vrbo properties previously in London, some of them more expensive than this one. We both agreed that without question this was our favorite and best experience. The flat was beautifully decorated, very quiet, had all the amenities, friendly neighbors, and a great location - in stylish New Town, and within walking distance of all the historic Edinburg sites, even the Botanical Gardens. ( I hesitate to praise this flat too much; I don’t want it to get all booked up; my wife and I would like to come back within the year - but I owe it to Martin and Weng to be honest. )

Gorgeous flat, convenient and comfortable

We stayed for 8 nights and found the flat perfect. The flat is central within easy walking to the centre of Edinburgh as well as Stockbridge,gorgeous parks, restaurants and cafes. Our hosts Martin and Weng were amazing. Their flat is pristine with lovely furnishings. The bed is super comfortable with lovely linens. The kitchen was well appointed with all appliances and kitchen utensils looking brand new. AllInstructions are clear and easy to understand . Cannot recommend this accommodation more highly.

Super VRBO

If you are like me you often find that the VRBO you rented on line doesn’t always live up to your expectations when you arrive in person. Well, this flat not only lived up to my expectations but far exceeded it. Photos don’t do it justice. It is exceedingly well furnished, very clean, and has a great location. As a bonus it is on a quiet street on street level. No stairs to climb up nor down. In addition, hosts Martin and Weng supplied us with a welcoming tray of food items. From 1 to 10 this is a eleven stay.

Great place to stay in Edinburgh

The flat was charming with modern kitchen and bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen stocked with enough for breakfast and some cooking basics. Hosts were very responsive, and the location was great. The washer/dryer combo was wonderful to have in the middle of a long trip.

What a lovely place to stay!

Wel love this part of Edinburgh at the edge of New Town and Stockbridge. So easy to get anywhere and so many local pubs, restaurants, and places to buy fresh fish and meat. The flat is immaculately finished with everything you'd need for your stay. We've stayed at Martin and Weng's other flat and this one was just as lovely, if not more so I can not recommend highly enough. The attentioon to detail and needs is superb. Many thanks.

A beautiful Edinburgh haven

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and New Year. The communication during booking was great and nothing too much trouble for the owners. Arrival was very easy and every guide/instruction book was to hand. The apartment is impeccable in cleanliness and design. This is certainly not your average 'rental apartment'. This is a beautiful home that the owners let out. Everything was of the highest quality and absolutely nothing we needed was missing - all kitchen utensils you would need with additional extras to make your stay homely and comfortable. We especially found the large footstool in the lounge perfect for Christmas jigsaws! Location is super - a 15 minute walk into the city centre. This meant we could pop back for lunch etc and not have a full exhausting day in the busy city. A few minutes walk to Stockbridge through Circus Lane was lovely as was the close proximity to Inverleith park which is stunning. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat if we are lucky enough to return to Edinburgh. A truly stunning apartment with very attentive, yet unobtrusive, hosts.

Way above expectations

Honestly, I didnt do much research when looking for a place to stay. I just looked for places in Edinburgh. This one popped up with 5 stars, so I booked it. Now I know why everyone is rating 5 stars. This place had everything we needed, and more. Everything we needed to know about the flat and about Edinburgh was provided in a very handy booklet. While we were staying, the autumn time change occured and the hosts offered to come fix the clocks if we needed. I had such a great experience here that it is very sad to be leaving, we will definitely be back.

Best Place to Stay for Couple

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Cumberland Street in New Town Edinburgh! The home was perfectly situated In Edinburgh to access all the places to visit and utilize. We were a 10 to 20 minute walk to shopping, train, Castle hill, Botanical Gardens, Saturday/Sunday Markets, pubs and restaurants. The home itself was well appointed with comfortable chairs, couch, eating area, kitchen, bedroom and bath. Great soaking tub. It was a very quiet area considering it’s proximity to bus stops and street traffic. We walked everywhere we could and took the train to St Andrews (1 hour) and Belhaven Brewery (30 minutes). I would return to this home again, without hesitation and hope I can again, someday in the future.

The best we’ve ever seen.

All I can say is Wow. This was the most well thought out home we’ve ever used with VRBO…and we've used a lot. It is impeccably designed and clean. The thoughtful welcome gift was such a kind surprise and perfectly useful. Communication was immediate and the check in process was simple. We loved our neighbourhood as it was easy walking distance to most and easy access to transport. We enjoyed visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia as well. But the best part was when I had forgotten a whole drawer full of clothing, Martin and Weng immediately communicated with me and quickly sent everything to me at our next destination! Amazing! Wonderful! Thanks so much for all the kindness. There should be more people like you in the world.

Fantastic location fantastic flat!

We immediately fell in love with this beautiful flat in a very beautiful, convenient neighborhood. It greatly surpassed our expectations. Fabulous Apartment

This has got to be the best apartment we have ever stayed in. It was every bit as good in reality as it looked online when booking. It is stylish yet homely and so comfortable we could have happily spent all our time in the apartment!. We already knew the location would be perfect having previously stayed in another property in Cumberland Street, the city centre is easily accessible, although uphill, as is the vibrant up market area of Stockbridge, the Waters of Leith walkway and the Botanical Gardens. Martin and Weng were very helpful and provided an excellent welcome pack. We will have no hesitation in returning and would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property; amazing owners

Martin and Weng have a beautiful flat in a great location - close enough to enjoy Edinburgh’s old town but quiet enough to really enjoy coming “home” after busy days exploring. Perfect, again

Can’t say enough about this wonderful flat. Perfect location (just far enough away from the tourist masses, but close enough to walk anywhere), clean, thoughtfully appointed, with the added touch of some wine and goodies waiting for us. This is our second time staying here and we wouldn’t hesitate to do so again on our next visit. It’s perfect, and the hosts are wonderful - thoughtful, communicative and friendly. Wonderful place to stay!

This was by far our favorite property on our trip. The apartment is beautifully decorated, well appointed and very comfortable. You could tell the apartment was loved and It felt like home. Most importantly, it was very clean and functional. I highly recommend this property.
