A comfortable and well presented self-catering holiday apartment situated in a historic listed building overlooking the Royal Mile, just moments from Edinburgh Castle and situated just opposite St Giles Cathedral. The apartment is on the first floor and has its own unique private staircase entering directly onto the Royal Mile. This unique apartment has four large windows to the front where guests can sit and watch the ever changing bustle of the Royal Mile below. The apartment is well furnished and newly modernised and makes a lovely comfortable place to stay.

This apartment was fantastic! Would highly recommend! It was clean, well appointed and convenient. The host was very generous and made sure we had the essentials. We were sad to leave. We watched FRINGE entertainment from the window, right outside our apartment, on the Royal Mile. I will definitely book again - if I ever get to Edinburgh again.

Superb location great flat

Weekend stay in winter, great location super flat easy for family of 3. Very clean and great amenities. Would be easy to self cater but so centrally located can happily go out for all meals. Highly recommended.

Our stay was good from beginning to end. The location on the Royal Mile was perfect during the fringe. Checking in and out was very easy. Parking is about 3/4 of a mile away, but it was easy to find and use.

In the heart of it all!!

Wonderful location on the Royal Mile. Restaurants, shopping and attractions just outside your door. Derek was wonderful and responded immediately to all questions.

Stay in the heart of things!

If you want to stay right in the middle of the action on the Royal mile this apartment is perfect! It is also surprisingly quiet for being so centrally located. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Edinburgh and we had a wonderful time. Communication was great with Derek, the host.

If you want to be in the center of the fun in Edinburgh, this is the perfect place for you. On the Royal Mile and close to everything. Super clean and with whatever you could need. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to my friends.

Center of it all

We loved our time in the flat. It’s really fun to step outside and immediately step into the bustle of Edinburgh. Our host was responsive to our questions about the flat and figuring certain things out about to work it. The flat has everything you need and it’s really comfortable. Suggestions: a newer mattress - maybe a bit larger, clothes washer instructions could be clearer - we couldn’t get it to work. The apartment however is clean bright and perfect for the trip to Edinburgh. We would stay again without hesitation.

Great stay on the Royal Mile!

The property was great with a bedroom, larger living room with both an air bed and a roll away twin bed. . . . plenty of space for a family of four. We had an issue with the WiFi when we arrived but Derek came and got it fixed right away. Thank you for a great stay in Edinburgh!

Great place and wonderful host!

Derek was a great host. Lovely welcome basket of goodies and coffee. The place is a dream. Great location (we weren’t bothered by the occasional noise outside in the busy street). One missing light and Derek came and fixed it right away. Would love to come back to Edinburgh and stay here again. Thanks so much!

Lived our stay at Dereks place in Edinburgh. What a brilliant flat withbitsbentry right on the Royal Mile. Super comfy bed with plenty of good pillows and the additonal double blow up matress was excellent comfort wise. Appreciated the double windows in the bedroom to block out any noise. Spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay again amd highly recommend. Thanks for making our Edinburgh visit so good woth this accomodation.

Perfect Royal Mile Flat

We (3 adults) recently stayed for 3 nights during Fringe and it was everything we could have asked for and more. The location is amazing and the flat itself is lovely. The hosts have thoughtfully provisioned and carefully documented everything important about the flat. We felt like celebrities coming & going from the High Street entrance! We would recommend this gorgeous flat to anyone, and we hope to rent it again sometime soon.
