Situated 1km outside the pretty village of Boliqueime, Carob Tree is just a perfect place to relax & enjoy not only your summer but winter holiday too. A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival, a tastefully decorated villa with a mixture of traditional and modern finishings. The village itself is quite small, the church is at its heart with a beautiful cobbled square, planted with blue jacaranda trees, giving shade during the hot summer months. All the modern conveniences are present in Boliqueime, bank, health center, pharmacy, post office, restaurants all tastefully integrated into this typical Algarvian Village.

Wonderful stay!

Sandra’s property is just beautiful, very spacious, and wonderful outdoor space. We loved the heated pool, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and the games/cinema room was a huge bonus for the kids. Sandra had thought of everything, even leaving some snacks for our arrival after an early flight. Thank you so much Sandra! We loved it all!

Beautiful house and pool

Wonderful week late June/early July. The house is beautiful with generous rooms and a lovely pool/garden area as well as the gym/cinema/pool table downstairs and our host Sandra could not have been more welcoming. Car definitely recommended but Albufeira (and indeed lots of other lovely villages and towns) are only a short drive away.

Carob Tree Family Get Away

What a stunning villa in a quiet and peaceful location, perfect for a family get together away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Ubers to and from shops, restaurants, beaches and more where plentiful and very reasonable too so absolutely no need to hire a car. A wonderful peaceful and relaxing week for us all. Sandra is an amazing host and made our family getway that much more special and memorable too.

Fantàstica all around

This VRBO is absolutely amazing. Four bedroom villa complete with a pool that is family friendly as well as a well stocked kitchen, dining area areas inside and out. Suitable for three generational families and or couples who may be wanting to escape. Quiet neighbourhood with lots of historical farm houses and villas mixed. 20 minute walk to the small village of Boliqueime where one can find several restaurants and cafés. Including a British pub where you can get fresh cod fish and chips on Fridays. If we lived in Europe, this would be a regular place for us. Sandra is the most gracious, warm and responsive host. We paid 200 an extra euros as we wanted to have the swimming pool heated as we were early in the season.

Amazing 👏

We had an amazing 2 weeks at the villa with our fanily.... Sandra was an amazing host and even took me to get some party decorations for my sons birthday while we was there... the villa is beautiful and clean and has absolutely everything you could need. We didnt venture out too much as we was so happy staying in. We didnt rent a car while we was there but Uber is super easy to use to get to Aldi or Lidl5 min away. Thanks you So much Sandra, and cant wait to book to come again xxx

Amazing Villa and host

We stayed here for 10 days in November. The villa is absolutely superb. We all thought it was one of the nicest and best equipped places we've ever hired. the whole thing was then made even better by the fantastic communication and hospitality from Sandra. Before, during and after the stay Sandra could not do enough for us, and the extra information she supplied about restaurants, local facilities, sightseeing, etc was excellent. There's a really friendly pizza place in the village we used a few times, as well as two good sized supermarkets. Massive ones aren't far away - we went to the one in Albufeira, where we also found a lovely fish restaurant in the older part of town. Couldn't recommend this place, and Sandra as a host, highly enough!

We had the most wonderful 10 nights stay at this beautiful villa The location is so nice and quiet, but within short driving distance to the local towns. The pool and garden are perfect and so well kept, we paid for the pool to be heated and it was lovely at this time of year. The rooms are all so spacious and the villa is beautifully decorated and so well equipped with everything you could ever need. Sandra is a fabulous host and couldn’t do more, so friendly, helpful, informative and offered the best service we’ve ever received, from the welcome pack to the recommendations of family friendly places to eat, and every message was replied to so quickly. We were a family of 8, from age 1 to 60 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay We would definitely return and recommend Thank you for an amazing stay

We spent a wonderful autumn week at this gorgeous villa in the Algarve and absolutely loved every moment. The property is stunning, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The heated pool was a huge hit with both adults and children; we enjoyed long sunny afternoons swimming and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings.The villa’s layout is perfect for families or groups, three spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom featuring a shower, made everything so convenient and luxurious. The kitchen was fantastically equipped with everything you could possibly need.And the hidden gem of the house? The cinema room tucked away in the basement, an absolute delight! Our kids couldn’t believe it, and we ended up spending a few cozy evenings watching movies together there.A special mention goes to Sandra, our wonderful host, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. She took care of every little detail, making us feel completely at home. We have honestly never experienced hospitality like this before. Sandra's sanctuary!

We booked Sandra's beautiful property for our family reunion and to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. There were eight of us ranging in age from 16 to 84! The property was absolutely perfect. All on one level for my Dad who has some mobility issues and on the outskirts of a little Portuguese town with miles of country roads for the endurance runners in our group! It was super clean, incredibly spacious, beautifully curated and had everything that we could want or wish for. So much so, that we cooked many meals in the well appointed kitchen, spent every day by the pool (which is quiet and very private) and only really ventured out to the grocery store and into the little town once or twice. Sandra's property really does deliver everything and so much more and, Sandra is an exceptional host. If the flight from LA to Faro wasn't quite so far, we'd book Sandra's place again in a heartbeat. My 84 year old Dad is already planning how to visit again next year! Muito obrigada Sandra. Sua propriedade é fabulosa!

Gemütliches Ferienzuhause, Gegend für Rollstuhlfahrer schwierig

Wir waren mit Freunden in der Villa Carob Tree. Sandra und ihr Mann sind wunderbare Gastgeber, die versuchen, alles möglich zu machen. Mein Mann und ich sind beide querschnittgelähmte Rollstuhlfahrer, und es dauerte keine zehn Minuten, bis eine Rampe von der Küche in den Garten führte! Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, es gibt sogar einen Eiswürfelspender am Kühlschrank. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, im Bad naturfarbene Travertin-Fliesen, hell und freundlich, die unverputzte Sichtbetondecke im Wohn-Essbereich, der große Esstisch, helle Sitzmöbel… ein wirklich schönes Ferienzuhause. Es hat 3 Doppelzimmer und ein kleines SZ mit einem Etagenbett, für Kinder sicher völlig ok, Erwachsene dürfen nicht wesentlich mehr als 1,80 m groß sein, sonst ist das Etagenbett zu kurz. Kino, Fitnessraum und Billard konnten wir Rollis nicht nutzen, da der Bereich nur über eine enge Wendeltreppe erreichbar ist. Rollstuhlfahrer sollten wissen, dass man das Grundstück nicht ohne Hilfe oder nur mit Auto verlassen kann, die Zufahrt ist steil. Auch die Umgebung ist fürs Handbiken oder rollen mit manuellem Rollstuhl nicht geeignet, weil hügelig, enge, unübersichtliche Straßen und Wege. Trotz dieser Widrigkeiten haben wir die Zeit mit Freunden im und um das Haus oder bei Ausflügen genossen. Vielen Dank, liebe Sandra, für deine wunderbar warmherzige Freundlichkeit! Du gabst uns das Gefühl, dass du die Berge versetzen würdest, wenn du es könntest, um es uns schön zu machen. Lots of Love, Maria
