What a find. Just the perfect blend of isolated privacy and easy access to the life and action of the harbour. It's a simple house, a little careworn in places, but it oozes charm and we were instantly at home. Gorgeous views from almost every window and as soon as you step out of the door. We are already planning our return.

Island House
The hotplate is quite an effort to use we have stayed at Island House twice since the surge and I have only got round to using it once when I needed to parboil some samphire! I see in the Guest Book that someone found the oven complicated too - I have
never tried it.
But these are only minor quibbles - we have been now 6 times to Island House and we love it!

Beds
The beds were not comfortable.
It might be an idea to have one double bed in one of the larger bedrooms.

It was cold
I regularly stay in north Norfolk and this was a chilly house- and v basic- although there was nothing missing as such it felt very sparse - and the heaters took about 3 days to warm up the house. Just didn't feel very homely.
