This fabulous pet friendly Lakeland cottage is located in the village of Near Sawrey in the Lake District National Park and sleeps six people in three bedrooms.

Anvil Cottage is a picture-perfect cottage located in Near Sawrey, opposite Beatrix Potter's Hill Top house. Sleeping 6 people in two double bedrooms and a family room, there's a family bathroom and a ground floor shower room, both with hand basin and WC. On the ground floor there's a charming lounge with multifuel burner and separate dining room plus a fully equipped kitchen and separate utility room. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for children and pets, and off-road parking for one car is provided. Located in the heart of the stunning Lake District, just 100 yards from an excellent pub/restaurant, Anvil Cottage is an ideal family holiday location at any time of year.

Amenities: Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

Oil fired central heating and multifuel burner.

Satellite TV, WIFI CD player.

Oil, electricity, coal, logs, bed linen and towels included in the rent.

Town: The village of Sawrey is situated two miles from Hawkshead down the eastern side of Esthwaite Water, overlooked by the woods and tarns of Claife Heights. Sawrey consists of two separate hamlets - Near Sawrey and Far Sawrey - both with a cluster of picturesque cottages, tea rooms and pubs. Near Sawrey is famous for Hill Top, the 17th century farmhouse where Beatrix Potter wrote her acclaimed children's stories.

Lovely property and great locationKettle wasn’t working, followed the email instructions and reported to Sykes, didn’t get a response so left a note when we left as wellFront room smelled of dogs and bathrooms could have been cleaner2 double bedrooms and one twin room (found the listing confusing about the third bedroom)Lots to do nearby - we really enjoyed the ghost walk with Tallow Tales at Hawkshead and trying Grasmere gingerbread.
