Recently refurbished to a very high standard, Clare Cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone built terraced cottage situated centrally in the beautiful village of Ambleside. With accommodation over 3 floors, the cottage provides ample accommodation for 6, it is deceptively spacious. The traditional comforts such as a log burning stove are complimented by contemporary furnishings, new bathrooms and kitchen. There are magnificent views to the front and rear of the property from the upper levels and with all the amenities of Ambleside on your doorstep, including shops & restaurants as well as walks for all abilities, a car is not essential.
My aim is to provide you with a beautiful holiday home you will want to return to.

Clare Cottage was a very comfortable stay in the best location. It is actually right in the heart of Ambleside but because it is on a narrow, windy and mostly residential street it gets very little traffic so is blissfully quiet. The views from the top floor bedrooms over the rooftops and chimneys to the hills beyond is wonderful - especially for watching the weather change.

Lovely cottage in the heart of Ambleside

Ambleside is beautiful and this cottage is a great base to explore the Lake District. We had a wonderful 6-night stay. Excellent communication with the landlord both before and during the stay made it easy to get settled in and enjoy the holiday.

perfectly peaceful

My family and I had a great stay at Clare Cottage. With an absolutely perfect location, we could walk to many restaurants within a few minutes. Parked the car for the week and used the buses which were frequent and inexpensive, would definitely come back.

Wonderful cottage with fantastic amenities and superb views from upstairs. Based on a quiet road right in the heart of Ambleside perfect for walks, shops,buses,crazy golf, cinema etc Highly recommended.
