An attractive and spacious three bedroom bungalow enjoying a pleasant view over treetops towards the sea. 10 minutes from the beach and shops. Sea Grove offers very comfortable family accommodation. The large deck/ patio with fantastic coastal views is a perfect place for alfresco dining on a summer evening whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
Ventnor has a delightful seafront with a crescent shaped beach of sand and shingle. Walk the beautiful coastal paths along the sea wall to Bonchurch or to the ‘secret cove' at Steephill.

The centre of Ventnor benefits a main shopping street, parks and gardens, a good variety of shops, pubs and eateries with freshly caught fish on sale in the Haven.
Local places of interest include the Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Coastal Visitors Centre, Appuldurcombe House, Isle of Wight Glass, a donkey sanctuary and St Boniface Down, which is the highest point on the Isle of Wight. Nearby are Blackgang Chine and the pretty thatched villages of Old Shanklin and Godshill.
As well as the excellent walking along the heritage coastline, there are varied sport and leisure activities including cycling, boat trips and sea-fishing. There is a local Cricket Club, golf course, Pitch & Putt lawn, tennis courts and a children's playground.

Great Home from Home

This is a beautiful, very well equipped bungalow. The view from the lounge and garden is stunning, we would definatly recommend. Loved it, already booked next year!

Enjoyed our stay at Sea Grove

Particularly appreciated: view to sea, location near Botanic Garden, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, lots of power points, dark skies to view stars (when clouds cleared) Would also suggest: non-slip mat in bath/shower, high-back easy chair - and pls fix wonky dining chair! Overall: had a good stay, thank you, would recommend

Yes, the sea view at Sea Grove is a kinda wonderful. Thank you for your positive comments and constructive feedback. Have just sat on all four dining chairs and could not find the wonky one??. High Back chair - good idea for next season. There has always been a bath mat in situ. It seems to have gone missing? Replacement will be supplied asap. Rgds

Lovely stay in the Isle of Wight

Sea Grove was a lovely comfortable cottage to stay in, it had everything you need in a great location with a great view looking out to sea. There was plenty of space for a grown up family of four and the utility room was large enough to store our four bikes securely, perfect! We had a great holiday and will be back!

Excellent home

This was our first time to the Isle of Wight and we were a family of 6 ages ranging from 23 to 77 and two small dogs. Had an amazing week at Sea Grove the layout of the property was perfect. I know the description says Seaview but what a sea view the property has it is amazing. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to sea. Excellent location to get out and about and the property had everything f you need, home from home. Can highly recommend we all had a great week and didn’t want to leave.

Sea Grove is a beautiful property., home from home property.

Sea Grove is a beautiful property, it has everything you could want during your stay. The view from the lounge is stunning The only negative we found was the mattresses in both double rooms have dips and are not very comfortable. The bedding is rather tired, spotlessly clean but needs replacing. Saying that, we are returning in August.

Possibly the best holiday ever

What a beautiful house in a beautiful location. The only negative point was a slight problem with the cleanliness. We had to clean the fridge and the living room carpet could do with a good clean.

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Seagrove. The fridge should be cleaned between every guest so apologies for that and we will make sure our Cleaners get on top of that in future. The carpet can get grubby towards the end of the season due to the sheer throughput of traffic. This property has been fully booked from Easter to the middle of September and it is very dificult to get a carpet cleaned during the short wiindow between outgoing and incoming guests. Will do our best to rectify that asap.

Adequate Cottage if you are able to walk into Ventnor

The garden view was lovely, the kitchen well equipped but the sofas and dining table rather underwhelming. The bed next to the bathroom was very soft and not flat and the bed linen was awfully nylon. The toilet in the ensuite shower room was left uncleaned. Because of the road closures and lack of nearby bus stops my friend needed to drive even into Ventnor.

Great property in a lovely location.

A lovely homely place to stay with a fantastic view. The property felt like a home from home and was very well equipped. We spent hours just enjoying the view and watching the enchanting lizards. The location was very quiet and conveniently located for the Island's many attractions. We only travelled about 6 miles in any direction and easily filled our week. Ample easy parking. Great outdoor space that was wholly private with spaces to sit in sun or shade all day. We would like to return. A visit to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens is a must. We had read variable views about this in advance of our stay and wondered what state the gardens would be in, we were extremely pleased to find them being well cared for, with new areas of planting undertaken and existing ares renovated and the upper cafe has reopened. In all, a lovely day out.

Lovely Place to Stay

Sea Grove was the perfect place to stay in Ventnor. The place was only a short walk from the gardens (highly recommend the putting) and around a 10 minute walk to the beach. It was nice and quiet there with plenty of space and parking! Would definitely stay there again when visiting Ventnor. However, they do not provide towels so make sure to bring some as we didn't!

Perfect for us as the bedrooms are at either end of the bungalow separated by the lounge and kitchen. Ideal if you are on holiday with early rising grandchildren. Very well equipped and spectacular views.

My second visit and I absolutely love Sea Grove and already booked again for next year....it is excellently equipped , good location and excellent view from rear garden and lounge. I scored 4 on cleanliness. After accidently dropping a few things that ended up under sofa, under chest of drawers etc it was found to have not recently been cleaned. A paracetomol was found under the sofa , which was not a problem for us but could be if you had a small child and lots of dust under the chest of drawers. Otherwise in obvious areas it was very clean. Highly recommend Sea grove

Sea Grove: A place to stay

What an excellent bungalow to rent. Everything you would need was there and there was a very comprehensive folder on all you would need to know. It was so clean when we arrived and we soon settled in. The veranda outside was so peaceful to sit there in an evening just watching the boats on the channel. Ventnor is a great place to stay it has so many amenities that you do not have to go anywhere else; however the island is a great place to travel round and see the sights. This was our 5 time on the IOW and due to covid there was a greater amount of visitors which meant that you had to book to get a table in a restaurant. I would like to thank the owners of Sea Grove for providing an excellent property to rent and subject to health we will look forward to renting again

Lovely bungalow in a beautiful location

We had a lovely couple of weeks staying at Sea Grove. The accommodation had everything we needed. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking a variety of dishes. The bungalow caters well for less mobile guests. The children loved the garden terrace especially the two resident lizards living by the outside steps. We loved the sea view and the ability to walk to Steephill cove and Ventnor from the accommodation. Will definitely come back.

Well worth a visit

Sea Grove, the bungalow, is of a high standard. It is very spacious, very well presented, has a well-equipped kitchen, large utility room and the veranda and terrace are just lovely. Everywhere is on a hill in Ventnor but we much enjoyed the walk to town everyday where the shopping is good. We found the sea-front restaurants and the Spyglass Inn welcoming and accommodating for children. Despite the prevailing Covid situation the island felt safe and relaxed. Local residents are particularly friendly and helpful as were our contacts at the Island Holiday Homes. With a car we were well able to visit other towns, many attractions inland and see the absolutely wonderful scenery and landscapes of the Isle of Wight.

Buyer Beware of your security deposit.

An absolutely lovely property and stay. However on return we found ourselves in dispute over the security deposit. This we 100% deny. We pointed out a fault on arrival which was then quoted back to us. In honesty - the holiday let was lovely and our holiday was great - we had very much hoped to rebook next year. A really sad end to a lovely house and stay. Please take photos on arrival and when you leave. As we had no evidence to counter the claim and we lost a third of our deposit - which was really unfair.

We have let SeaGrove for over 10 years. I think this is the first time we have had to deduct some deposit. This was due to the exceptional cleaning + repairs needed after this guest’s visit. Unfortunately not all visitors share our high standards of cleanliness nor respect for other people’s property

This is a really beautiful house by the sea.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seagrove. The house is beautiful and Ventnor is a perfect place for a seaside holiday. The walks along the coastal path were stunning. The local restaurants and cafés were ideal. The garden at Seagrove has a lovely sea view. We would definitely book again.

Holiday Accommodation Sea Grove, Ventnor IOW

Sea Grove is a very comfortable, clean, well equipped bungalow with beautiful views. We were two married couples so only used two of the bedrooms, which are placed at opposite ends of the property which worked out very well for us. The main bathroom is immediately adjacent to a king size bedroom and the other double has the ensuite. Unfortunately we couldn't use the garden for seating out as didn't have the weather, but perfect if weather permits. Parking at property good too. Two small points. The first we notice has been mentioned before in a previous review. There is not a shower tray for soaps, shampoos etc in the ensuite which proves awkward as it means all of those things have to stand on the shower floor in the wet. It wouldn't take much to put a tray up. The second was the toilet seat in the main bathroom slips to the side continually. I think that the seat may be too large for the toilet pan. These obviously didn't spoil our holiday in the least but feel they should be rectified. IOW is a lovely island and we would definately stay at Sea Grove if we came to IOW again. Lovely bungalow

Lovely bungalow,shame we were not able to use all of the garden, have a small dog so ropes were a bit unpractical and scary as we had to constantly keep our eye on the dog in case she fell through them, and garden could of been cut back a bit more so we could enjoy the amazing view more. The only other small detail was in the on suite shower there was nowhere to put soap or any toiletries. Other than that it was a delightful bungalow.

Most of our visitors (including dog owners) comment that Seagrove is a wonderful place for families to enjoy a holiday beside the seaside on our lovely island. Pets are welcome but only at their owner’s risk. May I suggest a long lead in the garden? It is a constant battle between Mother Nature and the Sea View. We will continue the fight. Thanks for the tip re en suite shower thingy. Nobody has mentioned it before but it is a good idea.

Comfortable bungalow

Nice comfortable bungalow , good location for getting around the island . Garden a bit disappointing as only top patio usable , lower garden is non existent

Upper garden is a lovely, flat, split-level deck / patio area great for sea-gazing, sun-bathing, al fresco dining, entertaining, chilling-out and keeping children safe. The lower garden has sloping paths (because Ventnor is built on a steepish cliffside running down to the sea) and some unruly vegetation so we do not think it is suitable for visitors but you are free to explore it if you wish.

Beautiful bungalow with an exceptional view

Sea Grove provides versatile, spacious accommodation and is very well-equipped for a self catering holiday. There is ample parking on the front drive. The view from the back garden is lovely and the area is generally quiet - bit of traffic to the front in the day but nothing at night. The decor inside is of a high standard and it was very clean. The owners have left a very useful information folder for guests and we used it a lot. Heating extremely efficient!!
