Ancient farmhouse of peasant origins. Galleria di Brolio is an ancient stone farmhouse which origins are dated back to 1800. It is placed between two of the most important centers of Valdichiana, Castiglion Fiorentino and Foiano, and today is part of the farm of the owners. The farmhouse is only a few km away from the two towns where you can find, besides monuments and sites of artistic interest, shops, restaurants and all kind of service. The house takes its name from the Galleria di Brolio, a canal still operating today, located on the edge of the olive grove and part of the old canal built between 1932 and 1940 to improve the outflow of waters towards the Arno, already contemplated by engineer Vittorio Fossombroni for the reclamation of the valley at the end of the 18th century.

Woods, vineyards and olive groves. The farmhouse is placed on the edge of a 20 ha wood with oaks and pines used as a hunting reserve for the repopulation of animals which live here in the utmost of freedom and often happen to see hares and pheasants run into the olive grove, vineyard, and even in the meadow of the house. On the ground floor there is the apartment where the owners live, as well as a cellar and a shed for the farm's agricultural tools, while the first floor is reserved for the guests. Furnishing is nice and comfortable and perfectly matches the characteristics of the house. Not far away, beyond the wood, passes the railway line which connects the center of Italy with the main cities of the peninsula (Firenze, Bologna, Roma, Milano).

The swimming pool surrounded by olive trees. A few meters from the house, amidst olives, there is a beautiful swimming pool (size m. 11x5, depth m. 1,10-1,40 - open from 01st May to 30th September), completely fenced and for the exclusive use of the guests with an equipped gazebo. At their disposal also a large porch equipped for outdoor meals, with barbecue and wood burning oven. The owner, on request, will prepare typical Tuscan dinners and pizza in the oven.
