Welcome to your vacation destination in beautiful Lake Charles, Louisiana. Whether you are seeking a romantic retreat or a fun-filled family vacation, we have the perfect rental for you.
This cozy 2-story duplex is centrally located and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Only 4 miles from casinos. Walking distance to McNeese State University campus. Enjoy modern amenities such as fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces and privacy that a hotel cannot offer.
THE SPACE Come stay in our beautiful, lux property, with all the amenities of home. Lots of extra touches to make you feel pampered.
KITCHEN Unlike a hotel room, our kitchen is a full-size residential, fully-stocked kitchen and equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals: • 4-burner electric range with 2-rack oven • microwave • pots & pans • kitchen utensils (spatulas, knives, serving spoons) • kitchen gadgets (can opener, wine opener, measuring cups) • pizza pan • muffin pan • cake pan • hand-held mixer • 4-slice toaster • rice cooker • colander • mixing bowls • cutting boards • stemware/bar glasses • plates & bowls
LIVING ROOM Open-concept floor plan. Living room has a sleeper sofa couch and we have additional bedding in the closet upstairs if someone needs it as a bed.
YOUR PET — Pet Policy — You are welcome to bring your non-shedding dogs on vacation, but they must be approved at the time of booking. No German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, ChowChows, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Rottweilers, Labrador Retrievers, Siberian Huskies, or Dobermans. The fee is $100, with a maximum of two dogs. (Dogs weighing 30 lbs. max) Note: your dog cannot disturb the neighbors. If your dog barks when you leave, you cannot leave the dog alone at the property. We want every guest to have a wonderful experience. Guests are responsible for any damages incurred.
If you bring a dog that wasn’t pre-approved and we grant approval, the fee will increase to $100 per day per dog.
NO CATS ALLOWED. An automatic $500 fine will be imposed, and you will be required to vacate the property immediately.
**Service Animals. Special note on service animals**: If you are bringing a service animal, the service animal cannot be left alone at the property and must be with you at all times. FOR AN EVENING IN We have DVD movies, board games, playing cards and puzzles for your enjoyment.
LAUNDRY You will have a washer / dryer and laundry soap so packing light is an option.
OUTDOOR SPACE Just want to note that due to Hurricane Laura, our outdoor fencing is currently down. We do have some exterior siding missing. Waiting on insurance resolution. There are two parking spaces available directly in front of unit.
BEDROOMS Both bedrooms are upstairs, each with ensuite bathrooms stocked with towels, full size products, and blow dryer. Each bedroom has a TV with Netflix, streaming channels and WiFi.
At our properties, we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.
HOUSE RULES are in place to ensure that every guest has a wonderful experience. NO CATS. No motorcycles/trailers/campers. No smoking. Only allowed in back yard. ***This property has 4 individual apartments and are close together. We ask that you be very respectful and considerate. No loud noise or music. No hanging out in parking lot. For any reason. No gatherings or parties. No crawfish/seafood boils on property. The only people allowed at this property are the persons registered for this booking. Please do not burn candles. Only 2 parking spaces available for this property. Your vehicles must be able to fit in your designated spaces. No street parking allowed.
TRAVELING WITH FRIENDS? We have 4 properties all together next door to each other listed here on VRBO. They are identically furnished and have all the same amenities. So if one home is already booked, please check the availability of our other listing.
This is also perfect if you are traveling with friends or family and would like to have your own space but still be neighbors. Be sure to book as early as possible to ensure all properties are available for your dates.
Guest access This property is a full-time nightly rental and not shared as our main home. You will have access to the entire house with 100% privacy. You have 2 parking spaces right at your front door.

From Australia to spend Christmas with family. Successfully hosted Christmas lunch in out comfortable duplex. Mike could not have been more helpful, and kitchen facilities were excellent.
The property was perfect for our purposes. We had family who were able to stay in both sides of the townhouse for a family reunion. The extras like the included breakfast ingredients for the first morning were very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!
This is our second year in a row to stay at this location. They go above and beyond to make sure your taking care of. Had sodas in fridge , beer , eggs biscuits, and lots of snacks. We’ll be back next year in June for reunion.

We enjoyed our stay
My family loved the cozy feel of the duplex. However, we did notice every time we ran a major water source(shower,dishwasher,washing machine) we noticed a terrible fishy smell permeating from the down stairs bathroom. We could not use this bathroom when we had a water source running. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and very clean!
We met our son that is stationed at Ft Polk at the house and spent the Christmas holiday. The house and location are fantastic and stocked to get us started. Located near many great restaurants and also a grocery store close by. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Looked at several hotels with kitchen or kitchenette and could not match the price of this place. Had way more room and privacy. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood with numerous food choices close by! I will stay there again if and when I am back in town.

Very clean and nice townhome
The townhome we rented was very nice and clean. It was centrally located and was within 10 minutes of every ball park and restaurant we went too. The owner went out of his way to guarantee a nice stay and the extra amenities were such a nice touch. We will definitely rent here again when we return to Lake Charles.

VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY-
THE UNIT HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO STAY 4 NIGHTS/5 DAYS. WE ATE CERTAIN MEALS AT THE UNIT FROM FOOD WE BROUGHT OR LEFTOVERS FROM WHERE WE ATE OUT AT PREVIOUSLY. THE SOUTHERN SPICE IS ON THE CORNER WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE AND THE UNIT IS CENTRALLY LOCATED TO ANYTHING YOU MAY NEED TO DO. VERY NICE QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE UNIT IS LIT UP GOOD SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE PARKED IN FRONT OF THE UNIT. THE OWNERS LEFT US SNACKS AND SOME BASICS IN THE FRIDGE. CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING THAT WASN''T GOOD ABOUT THE STAY. WOULD RECOMMEND THESE RENTALS ANYTIME.

Comforts of Home
The owners are very friendly and thoughtful. House is clean. Close location to McNeese and restaurants. My kids and I walked around the neighborhood multiple times. Feeling safe in a place you don't know is important! If ever visiting kids at college, just passing through, or in our case evacuating from a storm, I highly recommend this place.

Perfect
This is a wonderful unit for a stay of either a few days of several weeks. For us, we rented it for a month while visiting our son's family and it was perfect for us. It is quiet, well appointed, and Mike & Tonya have obviously thought through many little things that made the stay a pleasure. Examples: The personal amenities tray with a variety of toiletries; stocking the refrigerator with breakfast items so we had something the morning after a late arrival; nice fluffy pillows, towels and bedsheets that were high quality and comfortable. Having a washer/dryer helps SO MUCH when on an extended visit.
We really can't say enough good things and have absolutely no negatives to offer at all. We will be renting again whenever we visit our son in Lake Charles.

This is one of the best places that I had stayed. It was a very clean with nicely designed decor. I believe that everything was well thought out for the guess, because of the extras such as snacks to places to visit and thing to do. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Golden Nugget of Lake Charles!
The hospitality of the owners just add to the charm of this unit. The snacks, breakfast food and personal note were over the top! The unit is even better than the pictures! Location is perfect for the casinos or McNeese State. This place really is the Golden Nugget of Lake Charles!

Arrived Friday evening to an extremely clean place where the owner provided all items required plus many extras to make our stay very enjoyable. Newly built property with all amenities. Definitely will be returning. Owners very easy to work with through VRBO without any problems. Would highly recommend to others.
