Our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor courtyard apartment is in the lovely Bolt Head development which sits above the beautiful South Sands beach, wonderfully in reach of Salcombe town centre whilst being away from the hustle and bustle!
It's a perfect holiday home for anyone wishing to explore South Devon, situated on the SW Coast Path it offers the most amazing walks directly from the property, along the coast towards Hope Cove and Thurleston in one directon and in the other to Salcombe town centre and inland towards Kingsbridge or over the East Portlemouth Ferry toward East Prawle.
It's also perfect for those who enjoy beach breaks, a short walk down to the most amazing South Sands beach where you can spend the day playing in the sand and sea, watching the comings and goings of the South Sands Ferry (Easter to October school breaks) and taking in the lovely atmosphere of the fantastic Bo's beach cafe, South Sands Hotel or new Harbour Beach Hotel. Walk just up over the hill to North Sands beach (it's a big hill!) and you'll find the famous Winking Prawn Cafe (as recently featured in the film 'The Roses'). For swimmers we're perfectly located for the daily dip, and if you've any watersports enthusiasts it's great to paddleboard or kayak into town*.
For those able to and who enjoy walking you can walk into Salcombe town centre along the coastal road with super views along the way, or you can hop on the South Sands Ferry which takes you from the beach directly to the centre of town.
If you've an early riser amongst you they can take their cup of tea and enjoy the sunrise from the developments communal bench with what we feel is the best view of Salcombe, or end the day there with a glass of wine watching as the beach quiets down.
As the beach quietens down in the evening it's a perfect time to go down to enjoy a pizza on the beach from Bo's, or dinner with a an amazing view at South Sands Hotel or a super cocktail in the luxury atmosphere of the Harbour Beach Club hotel, something to suit everyone's favourite plans.
For anyone with an interest in National Trust properties and gardens we're just a 10 minute stroll up to the fabulous Overbecks property.
We have allocated parking for 1 car and additional visitor parking also available in the development (electric car charging point available on site, restricted to property guests)
ABOUT OUR APARTMENT
The apartment has a spacious open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area with a large comfy sofa, 4K TV, DVD player, Bluetooth Speaker, broadband / Wifi.
It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, 1 kingsize bedroom with ensuite (shower) and 1 twin bedroom with ensuite (bath & shower).
It is all tastefully decorated and has many touches to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
The property is ground floor and accessed directly from the courtyard area by a private front door, we have chairs and table for your use in the relaxing courtyard area.
There are no sea views from the property, although we have one of the best views in Salcombe from the developments communal bench area which is in front of the development.
Regrettably we can't accept pets or smoking.
Please note that this area of the South Coast is hilly and any walking in the surrounding area includes inclines.
