The accommodation was lovely. Cosy and very comfortable. Perfect location to travel to and from the isles. We all went up to Lewis and then down to the Uist’s, Berneray, Benbecula where we met my wife’s cousin then on to Eriskay. The dogs loved the beaches as did we. Stunning place. Thank you

Thanks so much David for your lovely review. Glad you had a good week exploring the isles. You’re more than welcome to stay with us anytime.
First time on Harris and Lewis and really enjoyed the house. It has its quirks (first holiday home ever with an over abundance of storage!) but was spacious and spotless. Had to reset the heating on the first night due to no hot water (the island suffered a total blackout the night before and knocked it out) but the hostess replied immediately and the problem was solved in minutes which was a huge plus. Recommended for anyone visiting the area

Thank you so much Gordon for your kind review. It was a pleasure having you all and you’re more than welcome to stay again. Thanks also for leaving the house so clean & tidy on departure. Glad you had a good week. Joan
Joan's house is very spacious, well equipped, and perfectly located within 10 mins walk from the local shops (provisions, crafts and tweed) and the local restaurant, deli, ButtyBus, harbour and lochs. Thee ideal base location from which to explore by vehicle, bike, or on foot.
Slept like logs, all of us. Fab kitchen for eating and socialising with friends, with really good decking out back and village and loch views to the front. Gorgeous sunsets, depending on the weather.
Stay, relax, explore, enjoy... repeat.

Great base for exploring Harris. Well equipped cottage, layout a little inconvenient with 2 bathrooms on ground floor. Ensuite bedroom filled with wardrobes that are not needed. Good kitchen and the whole house was very clean.
Lovely outlook over Leverburgh.

Thank you so much Finn for your lovely comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay in Harris and hopefully you will be back sometime.
Excellent location and within walking distance to the local supermarket and ferry terminal for Berneray. Situated next to the ferry is the Anchorage restaurant which is well worth a visit (it’s dog friendly too!).
Tarbert is an easy 30 minute drive away, and along the way are stunning beaches including the famous Luskentyre beach (wetsuits optional).
All in all a perfect house in a perfect location.
