About this property
GREGORIUS DIAMERISMA: panoramic terrace
Imagine stepping into the heart of Naples, in the UNESCO-listed historic center, in a corner building between Spaccanapoli and S. Gregorio Armeno where, according to popular beliefs, our patron saint was born: San Gennaro. The house, just renovated, has a private terrace from which you can admire dozens of domes, Vesuvius and all the thousand colors of this incredible city. Are you ready to take a dip in the history of Naples? the price to pay is the lack of an elevator.
The house has 2 large fully furnished bedrooms, a lounge with sofa bed and an equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with shower and essentials (towels, hairdryer, soap and shampoo). The house is on the top floor of an ancient building of historical interest. It has a large panoramic terrace, from which it is possible to admire, on the right, the Vomero hill, the Castel Sant'Elmo, San Martino; on the left, Vesuvius, the Cathedral of Naples and the characteristic Neapolitan roofs of the historic center. The apartment is located in the characteristic San Gregorio Armeno, famous for the display of cribs and shepherds of the Neapolitan master craftsmen.
Guests will have access to all areas of the apartment.
The building is located a few steps from the main tourist attractions of the city, including the Cathedral of Naples, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, Underground Naples, Sansevero Chapel, Via dei Tribunali, Piazza del GesĂš, Mother Museum and the National Archaeological Museum. From Piazza Garibaldi station it is possible to walk in 15 minutes or by subway, Line 1 direction Piscinola, Dante or University stop. The port, where ferries leave for excursions to the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, is a 10-minute walk away. From the airport it is possible to arrive by taxi or use the paid shuttle service to be agreed with the owner of the structure. Other things to keep in mind: the apartment is located on the fifth floor of the building, without a lift.

Dario was an incredible host and this was an absolutely lovely property! Perfectly located so you can immerse yourself in Napoli. next time we come here, i know who we are booking with!
The apartment was good, really comfortable beds, nice clean bathroom, kitchen area. The outside space is beautiful in the mornings. Items such as cooking utensils were very likited, but enough to whip up some breakfast and dinner. Cups, glasses, plates etc were a little dusty, ut just need a quick rinse out.Communication with Dario was
This is a gorgeous space located in the historic city center just off Spaccanapoli. The host was amazing, even helping me to book a taxi for an early morning trip to the airport. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Naples! If you want to experience the true magic of Naples, this apartment is the place to be. It is situated right in the heart of the historic city, meaning we were steps away from incredible shopping, fantastic restaurants, and vibrant piazzas. The location is so perfect that **no car is needed** at allâyou can truly walk to everything! The apartment itself was wonderfully clean, offered plenty of great space for our group, and featured a fantastic outdoor patio. It quickly became our favorite spot to unwind and relax with a bottle of wine after a long day of exploring. An unexpected highlight was checking in. Picking up the first set of keys turned into a hilarious experience that our young adults affectionately dubbed a "scavenger hunt." It completely broke the ice and set a fun tone for the rest of the trip.A massive thank you to Dario for his exceptional communication and for making everything feel like an adventure right from the start! We totally recommend this gem and will absolutely be back.
The apartment is perfectly situated in the heart of the historic quarter and is peaceful and quiet indoors despite the hubbub outside. Very comfortable with everything you need. A couple of small side tables at either end of the sofa for drinks would be handy. Lovely and clean and warm. Outside terrace a lovely place to sit in the sun and relax. Joining instructions looked complicated but were clear and thorough. Your host Dario could not be friendlier or more helpful and is on hand at all times if you need him. Very highly recommended.
Dario was very responsive and helpful with local recommendations. His instructions for check in were detailed and easy to follow. The apartment was very clean and we loved the patio!
Fantastic property and host. A bit of a puzzle to find, but Dario was super responsive to our questions and requests, also giving tips for our onward trip. The location of the flat is perfect and the large patio area very special to relax after walking in the bustling city. Thanks for your attention, Dario! We highly recommend this property.
Right in the heart of busy old town. The perfect place to call home after a busy day of being a tourist. Balcony is great for eating meals and just relaxing. If you are wanting a true Napoli exp this Vrbo is a must

We had a nice stay at the apartment. Everything was okay. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace.
What we missed was a coffee maker with a bigger capacity.
We all enjoyed our stay , great roof terrace. We didn´t miss anything . Dario was always available.

The best feature by far is the deck area, just lovely. Great location and helpful host. A bit odd needing to go to another address to get the key but found it easily. The apartment didn't have a laundry as advertised which would have changed our thoughts on booking it. The bedroom layout isn't perfect as you need to walk through one bedroom to get to the next so not much privacy. The apartment could do with a spruce up as getting dated.
Located in pedestrian only historical center. Steps away from many shops and restaurants. Quick walk to Museums and train station.
Apartment was spacious, well stocked. Located on the top floor with no elevator so be prepared for 100+ steps to reach the top. Excellent patio/outdoor space with amazing views.
We loved our stay in the heart of the historic centre. The apartment was perfect for our family with an awesome terrace and view. It was so peaceful way up above the busy streets. It's well worth climbing the 120 steps. Thanks Dario.
The apartment was spacious and clean and terrace was very nice. You must be prepared for the 5 flight (110 steps) to reach the apartment. The host was very helpful.
We had an excellent stay, right at San Gregorio Armeno and Spaccanapoli, minutes from anything. The terrace was a perfect place to relax in the evenings, and the apartywas airy and comfortable. Yes, there are something like 114 steps up but the upside is you are far above the street noise and get a lovely view. Dario was always available by text if needed.

Thank you very much for your beautifoul review. đ
The terrace makes this whole property, itâs a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle below. The property was clean, beds comfy.
Cons: Must be fit to climb the 7 flights of stairs, kitchen could be better appointed, there was no sharp cutting knife, it would be a challenge to prepare meal due to this fact. Would recommend just for the terrace!
Stairs are no joke with a suitcase. Just as others described. We were a bit concerned with the entrance of the stairway but apartment was clean and the air worked great. Cool street. Short stay for us but we enjoyed it. Great communication with the owners.
A cheap and cheerful apartment in the old town with a roof terrace. Really convenient for visiting the city. Dario is responsive and helpful. Only one bed was made up on our arrival and the cleaner appeared quickly to remedy the situation. We were there for the earthquake and although no one checked that we were OK Dario was very helpful when we asked for advice. The flat is sparsely equipped and the only supplies are a random selection of what previous guests have left behind. Overall itâs a good, inexpensive base to visit Naples

Thnak you very much, was a pleasure to host you in my apartament, you are alweys welcome here
This apartment is located on main streets of the historic centre. If shopping or looking for souvenirs you just need to step outside. We walked to/from the train station which was handy for arrival/departure and day trips (take Umberto to Duomo if wanting to avoid scooters while pulling luggage). Dario was kind enough to leave .50 for the first ride on the the elevator when checking in. Coffee was also supplied which was appreciated. We used the upper bedroom and it was very quiet. We did have to walk farther from the unit to pick up the first key from a lock box to check in. Fyi, Italy increased the tourists rates March 1 so thereâs an extra charge of 5 pp/per night.

Stay in Napoli 5th floor with a small elevator 50 cents
The host of this Vrbo was extremely friendly and available for any assistance, The location of this Vrbo was in the middle of the historic district. Lots of stimulating activity. The building has alot of history. There was an elevator which took 50 cents to take a ride up or down. It was really great to have the elevator because it is 10 flights of stairs to the apartment. We did have some technical difficulties with the elevator but got it going most of the time. The apartment furniture is quite dated . Probably a big ordeal to get new furniture up to the top floor as the elevator is just big enough for to people standing close together, The host was very gracious.
Misleading Listing and Horrible Experience â Stay Away
Where to start? After a long travel day, we were sent on a scavenger hunt to get the key, walking to a totally different street just to enter the building. The entrance? Covered in graffiti. The apartment is on the top floor with a tiny elevator that costs 0.50 each way. The owner left 1.50, but it wasnât enough to fit us and our luggage, so we had to carry the rest up.The photos were misleading. Itâs technically two bedrooms, but one is only accessible through the otherâzero privacy. The listing also claimed a washer, but there wasnât one. The patio view? Ugly brick walls and rusted TV antennas.Worst part: a security guard dug through our trash at checkout, screamed at us in Italian for putting pizza boxes in the wrong bin, and called us âstupid Americans.â My family felt totally unsafe. Absolutely would not stay here again.

Where to start I should tell you. First of all, communicating with you was impossible, you had no respect for my house and for the condominium, you left the apartment completely dirty without even washing a plate or a glass. You did not respect the separate waste collection (mandatory) for this the caretaker called you "stupid", because you wanted to throw glass, plastic, paper and undifferentiated everything in the same container! Finally I told you to leave the tourist taxes for a total of 60 euros, and instead you left me 67 dollars! telling me that I should have been clearer in specifying EURO. You are absolutely dishonest people and I do not recommend you to any homeowner. Never again in my house!
