Located just minutes from the beach in a well kept resort style family community. Best of all, this Villa is located within walking distance to all the amenities! The Bay Forest community features: A marina for Canoe or Kayak launch, Indoor and outdoor basketball courts, playground, tennis courts, fitness centers, walking, nature and bicycle trails, horseshoe pits, bocce ball, putting green, volleyball court, two clubhouses, game room, community fire pit, two adult only lap pools, also a pool featuring a lazy river that everyone can enjoy. There is also a Bethany Beach shuttle bus that operates Wed - Sun every hour DURING PEAK SEASON ONLY. (Memorial Day thru Labor Day) A shuttle bus stop is just a few steps away from this villa!

Superb home with many amenities

Great Family Get Away

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful spacious home that had multiple seating and sleeping areas. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the access to bikes, beach chairs and play things for kids. Bay Forest is a beautiful community with great amenities. We enjoyed the 2 pools and the game room. Bring fans if you plan to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. It’s gets pretty warm up there. We would definitely recommend this vacation home.

Great Week in a Great Place

We enjoyed our stay. Stephanie was very responsive throughout the rental process. The home is well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed using the spacious kitchen to prepare meals and the patio and fire pit in the evenings. There were plenty of beach chairs, a washer and dryer we used to launder our beach towels a few times, and even a bottle of wine for us at check in. I especially appreciated the linen service so that I did not have to pack sheets and bath towels which take up a lot of room in our trunk. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. The club house, fitness center and pool are are also excellent. We especially liked the adult only pool where you can put a chair in the shallow pool and sit and and read or chat.

Perfection!

This was our final summer vacation before the last of our kids goes off to college, and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The owner has provided a wonderful home that has been specifically fitted with a "relax and unwind" motif. Although this is a villa, the home is bigger than most single family homes in Bay Forest. Plenty of bed space and living space, big open kitchen and enough flat screens for everyone. The owner even had a bottle of wine waiting for us with a thank you card when we arrived, she is a real class act. Our entire family enjoyed our vacation, and we definitely found it easy to "relax and unwind." Definitely would stay in this home again in a heartbeat when we make our plans for next summer.

Wonderful community amenities

The property was just as listed however there were two security cameras in the home facing towards the entrances that we were not informed of before hand. That was a little off putting. Overall, the property was clean besides the upstairs tub (due to poor drainage). We were not able utilize the outside area because we could not get the grill to lite and the outside table was right next to the air conditioning unit which was rather loud. The property offered a lot of beach items and bikes which was super convenient. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable.

Large condo with plenty of room. Great layout with 3 season room in back and a large loft area upstairs. Lovely patio area. We enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings drinking coffee and listening to the birds. Plenty of supplies in kitchen. Community pool was great and included an outdoor bar. The community does not seem too happy to have renters though. Beds are not the most comfortable and the upstairs bedrooms are very hot and will not cool no matter how low you set the AC. The rented sheets and towels are of poor quality but still better than bringing from home and taking up packing room. We didn’t use the shuttle because it never seemed to be available when we needed to go. There are not many restaurants near by but that just encouraged us to cook more at the condo. The beach is not as close as I thought it would be. It is a 20 minute drive from the comdo. Jolly Rogers water park in Ocean City was small and not worth the money. Assateague Island was fun and worth the drive. Stephanie was responsive and made renting easy. We had a good vacation.

Hidden Details

The property itself was ok. Minor cosmetic things like vent in the upstairs bathroom, light in the upstairs bathroom, stickers all over the bunk beds, stains on the upstairs carpets. However, there was two hidden cameras located inside the house. One in the “loft” that is considered a sleeping space that was hidden under the bed and on and one on top of refrigerator apparently to face the back door. This was NOT included in the VRBO listing. When confronting the property manager who laughed at me on the phone and stated that it was, then sent me an Air*** posting with it included (we booked on Vrbo) which was never seen. This is very disturbing! We were told to unplug them. Then, the alarm system to the house went off at 4am one morning, woke up everyone, due to the battery malfunctioning per the alarm company the property manager called. We were told to unplug that as well. All these things were disturbing and wish the alarms and cameras were included on the listing in more depth; we most likely would of never booked this house.

Hi Jessica, Thanks for your review. Allow me to address a few of your concerns. First, the light and vent has since been repaired after your notification. Secondly, it is sometimes a problem to have cream colored carpet to remain free from stains during peak season, because guest often spill liquids on it. The carpets are always steam cleaned before and after rental peak season, not during, which unfortunately your stay was during the middle of the season. Third, There are cameras on the premises facing the doors. They protect against break-ins and vandalism during periods when the property is unoccupied. The camera in the loft sits on a ledge facing down towards the front door. Additionally, the camera on the fridge faces the rear door. This is for the protection and security of the property. These cameras can NOT see anything except the doors and have no audio. The camera can NOT see any part of the loft where the extra bedding is located. Fourth, My apologies that the alarm to the villa malfunctioned. Once you advised, it was handled immediately! Again, these securities are put into place for the protection of the property during unoccupied times. The alarm system was deactivated during your stay. I'm not sure why a low battery warning would have made it activate. You were authorized to unplug it also so that it would no longer disturb your group. It has since been checked by the alarm company. It's not uncommon for vacation rental properties to have alarm systems installed that are deactivated during rental use. Additionally, when you called what you heard was laughter of people in the background because I was at a celebration. I answered the call despite my location because I always want to make myself available for guests day or night no matter the circumstances.

My overall impression of this property was "Wow!!!" Top to bottom it was amazing!!

I have no complaints at all about Stephanie the owner, she is open and honest from beginning to end. She keeps her property spectacular, inside and out, with the help of property maintenance and maid cleaning of course. Plenty of room for large family or multiple, the only thing I would suggest is another tv in case multi families go, there are 3 tv's now, but I think one more in the front sitting room would help out. Kitchen area is spectacular, everything you could need or want to cook a huge meal, also huge grill out on the patio, with a fire pit that is wonderful for cool nights. 2 and a half baths, which was more than enough for my family of 4 and my mother in law. The overall appearance is very homey, and welcoming!! Great lighting, natural also. If I could afford something like this to own, I'd do it in a heartbeat!! Can't say enough though about the owner, she made the whole process easy and enjoyable, she gets back to you within minutes, about everything and anything. Her taste in the decor is incredible, and very comfortable, the sofas and love seats I wanted to bring home!! Lol!! My only real disappointment was the hours of the pool onsite, which has nothing to do with the property nor the owner, is the pool closes at 7:00pm. My family and I love to stay up late and enjoy ourselves, especially on vacation. It's outdoors, and it even has a lazy river, which my family loved, but 7:00pm seems to early to close to me. Oh yea, I wish the pool area had like some kind of bar area for the adults, that would help out too. Lol!! I'm by no means a heavy drinker, but on vacation I like a drink here and there. If you want a beautiful, quiet place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the towns and beach, this is the place to stay!! Close enough to get to Bethany, Fenwick, Dewey, Rehoboth, and Ocean City, yet far enough to be out of everyone's way. Life is to short to let this place go by, stay a week and enjoy!! Make sure to sit out on the back patio at night, to look up at the stars with your loved ones, it is memorable.

Very nice community clubhouse with awesome pool for kids

The house was spacious and is in a good location. There were many TVs (one in each room), but we only used the ones in the entertainment room and the main area, and they were working great. The check-in and check-out processes were very straightforward and easy to follow. Getting the community passes was also a breeze, so we were able to enjoy the game room and pools right away. There are many options for activities around there (walking, swimming, pickle ball, etc) so we could always find something to do. Unfortunately, during our stay, the wall ovens were not working, so meals for 6 were harder to handle, especially with a small toaster oven as an alternative. The community shuttle to the beach was not running. With the COVID situation, this is understandable, but an advance notice would have been nice. Overall, we loved the place and neighborhood, especially the pool area.

My wife and I have vacationed in Rehoboth for 20 years staying in hotels. This is the first time to the Bethany area and first home rental. It was a truly wonderful experience. The owner, Stephanie, is a pleasure to work with and was so helpful from start to finish. We opened the door to find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The house was very clean and her choice of décor was excellent. She added a nice touch, with a thank you card and a bottle of wine to start our vacation. The house had ample sleeping spaces and bathrooms for a big family. For my wife and I, it was more than enough room. The house has everything you need. Lawn furniture, games for kids, stocked kitchen, televisions, cable, pool items, etc. The location is convenient. It was 10 minutes from Downtown Bethany and 25 minutes to Rehoboth Beach. It was close to many restaurants, diners, shops and grocery stores. We highly recommend this home. It is in a quiet neighborhood and a safe environment. Joe

The house was so well situated....room for all to share the fun.

This was one of the best trips we have had to Ocean View. Stephanie was so accommodating and did everything to mske our trip a success. My only complaint is with Bay Forest and not the owner. Trash pickup should be every week...at least in busy season. Every time I stayed I was faced with someone else's garbage and reclcycles. I know I left a lot for the next person as well. There is so much waste on a vacation that you end up 'trashing' any leftover items and the next person is stuck. However, I was very pleased with the trip overall. I would also suggest that time be allotted at the lap pool for a specific time for kids who want to swim. I understand that there needs to be a quiet adult area but if a time was established then kids could get to actually swim. Lazy river is great but after 5 years kids wanted a real pool.

Total relaxation!

We spent a great week at this beautiful, well appointed, fully stocked home. We were a group of 6, grandma and grandpa, son & daughter And 2 small children. The layout worked out perfectly so we all had plenty of space. We enjoyed getting to the beach And then being able to come back and relax a bit more in the lazy river. It is great for all ages! The kitchen is the best supplied of any home I have rented and I have been renting homes for over 20 years! It was a breeze to cook in this terrific kitchen. We are already talking about planning next year's Vacation! We were totally comfortable all the beds were great and having the linen delivery also made things so easy, just a pleasure All the way around!

Why they chose this property

This is a very family oriented resort style community that offers plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy. Its a very active community for all ages. Once you visit, you won't want to leave! This is an oasis if you are looking for a relaxing vacation property.
The Villa is just steps away from the shuttle bus stop. A short stroll to both clubhouses, both pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, fitness center, bocce ball, horseshoes, putting green and more!!!
Best of all, If you want to enjoy the beach but on a budget. Good news, Some Beach equipment is provided with this rental!!!!

What makes this property unique

This Villa features a unique double loft for extra room. The small loft is furnished with two twin beds for extra guest, and the large loft is furnished as an extra seating area. Also complete with a 70" inch TV and BluRay player with Apps for streaming, and free Wi-fi. The Villa also features a Sunroom with a 50" inch TV while looking out onto the patio that is complete with plenty of outdoor seating and a gas grill plus a gas fire pit for cool nights, along with a stone wall for even more extra seating! This villa backs onto a walking and bicycle trail outlined by a wooded tree line creating a scenic view.
