Unwind in this 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom villa set within beautiful gardens in an exclusive, tranquil neighbourhood.
Located approximately 1.5kms from the beautiful old town of Pollenca, and just a ten minute drive to the beaches in the port.
A luxurious escape, ideal for families or couples, Villa Barracuda offers privacy and stunning views of the magnificent Tramontana mountains. This exclusive getaway has everything you need for the perfect holiday, including gated entry and secure, on-property parking.
The sparkling swimming pool is set within the centre of the house - tiled in the style of the artist, Joan Miro. From inside the pool there are four huge, aquarium style windows allowing rippling sunlight and pool views into four of the rooms in the house.
The living accommodation is on the ground floor and an extensive sun deck with American style outdoor kitchen surrounds the swimming pool upstairs. Soak up the sunshine on the private pool deck sipping ice cold beers on comfy sofas, relaxing on sun loungers, sinking into huge bean bags, taking a dip in the pool or bubbling in the jacuzzi.
The roof around the perimeter of the pool deck provides welcome shade in the heat of the day, and a more cozy atmosphere after dark. Sofas are placed near an outdoor fireplace which is the perfect area to relax in the evening with a glass of delicious local wine, to watch the crackling flames and star gaze.
The outdoor kitchen is by American brand "Fire Magic" and includes a large gas BBQ, gas hob, fridge and sink with hot water. There's also a wood-fired pizza oven, which is always a big hit with guests! The outdoor kitchen is stocked with it's own extensive supply of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
The property was totally renovated in 2016, drawing inspiration from international artists and LA style. Essential features are air conditioning, fast speed FTTP broadband, TVs, Sonus music system and video entry system.
The house provides very spacious accommodation, with a layout ideally suited to couples or two families. There are four large bedrooms - two with queen beds and two with twin beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower-room (one with bath), fitted wardrobes, TV and access to private sun terraces.
The large, cool, living room has views over the lovely gardens and patio doors open to a covered terrace which catches the evening sun. This room is a nice area to relax with comfy leather sofas, a large wi-fi enabled TV and a dining area with a beautiful glass table that seats eight.
The fitted kitchen features a central island finished in local, natural stone, with the cooking area at one end, and bar stools at the opposite end for casual eating or company for the chef! Appliances include two built-in Neff fan ovens (one is a combination microwave/oven), induction hob, American style fridge/freezer with chilled, filtered water, dishwasher, wine fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and an abundance of cupboards and drawers with almost every utensil and appliance a cook could desire.
From the kitchen, French doors open into a pretty, pebbled terrace set around the original well, which is now topped with a circle of natural stone and surrounded by bar stools. This area captures the morning sun and is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or cosy evening dining.
A glass door from the kitchen leads into the striking entrance terrace with steps to the huge, wooden front door and further steps leading up the pool area.
In addition to the living room, there are two informal lounge areas with sofas.
Stunning, Mediterranean gardens surround the house and amount to approximately one third of an acre. Offering a high degree of privacy, the gardens are screened on all sides by stone walls, fencing and established trees, palms & bushes. A mature lemon tree offers fragrant, fresh lemons for the perfect gin & tonics.
The villa is accessed via an electric gate opening into the large driveway affording parking for a number of cars. There is a video entry system to open the gate from inside the house too.
The house has full laundry facilities with washing machine, tumble drier and clothes lines in a separate terrace out of sight from the main house. Guests also have ironing facilities and other cleaning products & utensils for their own convenience and hygiene.
The rental includes weekly cleaning with fresh towels and bedding. Should guests require extra cleaning and/or additional towels or bedding, this can be arranged at an additional cost.
ARRIVING AT THE PROPERTY:
Guests are personally greeted by a Property Manager (depending on the time of check in) who will give a brief tour and explanation of how things work.
If guests are going to arrive very late and the Property Manager is not available, the owners will provide details for access.
Guests are provided with two sets of keys.
There is also a complimentary Welcome Hamper of locally sourced treats and wine so guests can relax whatever time they check in, without having to rush to the supermarket!
HYGIENE:
In accordance with current COVID 19 regulations, the property is deep cleaned between guests. Hand sanitiser is provided for guests.
All the bathrooms are stocked with complimentary soap, shower gel and shampoo.
Dishwasher & laundry tablets are also provided.
The property owners are always very happy to answer any questions guests may have, but the PROPERTY MANAGER is also on hand for any emergencies during stays.

Why they chose this property
We have been holidaying in Mallorca for around 20 years. When our three children were younger, we rented villas in Pollenca each summer and often came over for long weekends as a couple.
We had been looking for a second home abroad, and this villa appealed to us because (a) we knew and loved the area, (b) the house is in a gorgeous, peaceful area, (c) the gardens were (and still are) stunning and well maintained, and (d) we were blown away by the unusual swimming pool which is in the centre of the house!
We both saw the potential to modernise the house and create somewhere really special that was also large enough to accommodate all our offspring, partners and now grandchildren.
We had been looking for a second home abroad, and this villa appealed to us because (a) we knew and loved the area, (b) the house is in a gorgeous, peaceful area, (c) the gardens were (and still are) stunning and well maintained, and (d) we were blown away by the unusual swimming pool which is in the centre of the house!
We both saw the potential to modernise the house and create somewhere really special that was also large enough to accommodate all our offspring, partners and now grandchildren.
What makes this property unique
One of the things that appealed to us about this property is the extensive outside "living" space.
The entire roof is the deck around the pool.
We re-tiled the pool in an unique Miro style with mosaic tiles and installed aquarium style windows in the pool, which allow guests to see into the pool from inside the house.
We also re-laid the entire pool deck and built an outside kitchen. We imported some of the kitchen appliances from America; they include a gas BBQ, gas hob, large fridge, sink with hot water and a (very popular!) wood-fired pizza oven. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and utensils.
We also created an outside fireplace and placed a comfy sofa in front. We have spent many nights snuggled up on the sofas with a crackling fire in the grate, and gazed up at the stars in the night sky.
Another popular feature is our jacuzzi on the pool deck.
The gardens are beautiful. We have planted many more specimen palms and trees and installed outside lights so the garden can be enjoyed at any time of day. We have extensive lawn areas and many mature pines, palms, yukkas, orange and lemon trees.
Inside the house, we have refitted the kitchen, adding a large, central island with a cooking area at one end and space underneath for bar stools at the other. We chose quality Neff ovens and hob, an American fridge freezer which also provides filtered water, a wine fridge and dishwasher. We also created a lovely seating area around the original well; refitted the bathrooms - creating spacious, modern shower rooms (one with a bath too) and created a large, cool living/dining room with patio doors across one wall opening to a covered terrace and views over the gardens.
The large TV in the lounge has Netflix and a range of channels, there is a Sonus music system around the house and air conditioning in all rooms.
