About this property

SEAGULLS NEST, family friendly, with a garden in Whitsand Bay

This detached, cliffside chalet in Whitsand Bay has stunning sea views and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

At Whitsand Bay, a detached, cliffside chalet on one level with stunning 'ships ahoy!' views from Rame Head to Looe. The position is breath-taking and perfect for the beach-lover and surfer. It sleeps 4 in two bedrooms – a king-size double and a zip-linked king-size. It is fresh, light and contemporary with an open plan living/dining room and kitchen area with panoramic sea views, and a family bathroom. To the side of the chalet there is a grassed area on two levels with picnic table (small children beware) for enjoying those al fresco meals or sundowners, and at the back there is a shed with an additional toilet. Nearby is Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and foot/car ferries to Plymouth. A wonderful place, great for watching the sun rise.

Amenities: Electric fires. Microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine. TV with DVD, WiFi, Phone incoming calls only only, Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Sorry, no pets. Note: This property is accessed via 100 yards of steep cliff footpath, ending in 24 steps, leading from the road. Note - Allocated parking for one car is available from 1 April - 30th September. Parking available in the layby at the top of the cliff path at all other times.

Region: Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Town: Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.

Incredible!

What an incredible place! The photos don’t do it justice. The views from the chalet are breathtaking and the beach below is the most beautiful we’ve ever discovered in the UK. The chalet itself was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The little touches make it a real home from home. We were so grateful for the use of the body boards which the kids loved. (We couldn’t fit ours in the car from home so were thinking about hiring some.) We checked out a few surrounding beaches but none we as amazing as Tregonhawke. The steep walk down (and up again!) didn’t put us off one bit. No other beaches were so quiet. Such a peaceful, beautiful place to relax - just what we all needed. Steve was so helpful with directions and tips too. Thank you so so much! We hope to be back again.

Fabulous cosy chalet in a stunning location

We had such a wonderful time, we didn't want to leave! The view was just to die for and the beach below, beautiful. We enjoyed exploring the coastal paths and little Cornish villages locally. The chalet had everything we needed and more and full of lots of thoughtful touches. thank you - we would love to come again soon!
