It is in Via Salita Distretto, an ancient street rich in baroque churches, noble palaces and panoramic sights, which goes through the heart of Ibla. Close to the main monuments of the city, it is only 25 km from the sandy beaches of Marina di Ragusa and 27 km from the golf courses of Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa.

The recently restored apartment (2015) is on the first floor and offers refined interiors, enriched by stone walls and ancient pitch-stone floors.
It enjoys a furnished terrace (20 sqm) with a wonderful panoramic view on Ragusa Ibla, a unique sight of the old city that joins the modern Ragusa (Ragusa superiore).
It consists of a kitchen-lounge, a bedroom and a bathroom.

Definitely a room with a view!

Amazing panoramic view and great location. Lovely to sit out on the terrace with coffee in the morning. Easy to park in the free parking at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the apartment. The bedroom is large and bright with very comfortable bed and linens. Really enjoyed our stay and Ragusa Ibla!

Lovely place, lovely host

Beautiful large bedroom with wrap around terrace providing a gorgeous view of Ragusa Superiore that changes with the light. Giorgio was a wonderful host, fetching me when I got lost arriving and returning me to the parking lot when I left. He also has a lovely roof top trattoria off the beaten path but not very far from the lodging- Trattoria dell’Orlogia

Unfortunate check in experience ruins stay!

No communication with the property manager, called five times no response. We could not gain entrance without a key which only after a local Italian called did we find out that the key was a half mile away at a small hotel. The day before leaving I received an email asking if we would be checking out at 7:00 AM even though the contract said 11:00AM. The only other complaint was the stairs are extremely steep. Hopefully an attentive property manager can be found. Ragusa is a great town with great people!

Magical view in magical town

The terrace view is absolutely spectacular and waking up to see the view from the bedroom doors was such a great way to start the day. Very comfortable mattress and large, hot shower added to the comforts. The location in the old town, with its mazes of streets added to the unique experience for us. It bears a little patience getting to the apartment, but worth it once you’re there. We ended up parking our car at the nearby Piazza Della Reppublica. My husband stayed with the car, while I did the five minute walk to the hotel that oversees the property. The very nice young man there followed me back to the car, rode with us to find the closest parking, and then led us to the apartment (tucked away in a cute little corner), also helping with our bags. It was pretty straightforward for such a hidden little gem. Lovely stay!

Dimora caratteristica con vista sulla città nuova

Mini appartamento ristrutturato bene e nel rispetto dello stile tipico del luogo. Il bagno è nuovo e ben rifinito anche se sprovvisto di mensole idonee all’appoggio degli effetti personali. La doccia è ampia e ben funzionante. Il letto matrimoniale, non comodissimo, non ha un unico materasso ma due materassi singoli uniti. Il terrazzo, anch’esso molto caratteristico, rappresenta il vero valore aggiunto della dimora e gode di una piacevole vista sulla parte alta di Ragusa. Il parcheggio più vicino si trova a circa 5 minuti di cammino e il tratto di strada che consente di giungere all’appartamento è per lo più in salita ed è fatto di varie scalinate lunghe e ripide. Il personale gentile e disponibile ha provveduto su nostra richiesta, e benché non fosse previsto, a un ulteriore cambio di lenzuola, a fornire dei cuscini in più rispetto a quelli concessi in dotazione nonché, spontaneamente, alla pulizia extra del terrazzo. Al nostro arrivo non siamo stati attesi direttamente in appartamento e, per recuperare le chiavi, è stato necessario raggiungere, a piedi e con i bagagli, l’hotel che gestisce la struttura (poco distante dall’appartamento). Stessa cosa al momento del check out per la riconsegna delle chiavi che non sono state prelevate in loco dal personale ma riconsegnate nuovamente da noi in hotel. Non avendo mai utilizzato la cucina non posso esprimerne un giudizio sulla funzionalità. Il fatto che la struttura sia gestita da un hotel consente che gli standard di pulizia siano assolutamente rispettati. Nel complesso il giudizio è positivo.

Absolutely stunning apartment. Lovely hosts.. Be sure and visit the Terazzo d’ Orologico Restaurant nearby for the delicious fare. We loved it.
