The space
The villa is a newly renovated stone house dating back to the early 18th century.
It is carefully restored but keeping some of its unique details, such as the wooden beam ceilings and the terracotta tiles floor.
Great care and attention to detail has resulted in this lovely home for you to enjoy.
Its hillside vantage point provides outstanding traditional Tuscan landscape views of olive groves, grape vines, along with panoramic vistas of the valley and the distant Tuscan hill towns.
The accommodation is spread over two floors.
At the ground floor there are a typical Italian fully equipped kitchen with a lovely dining area; the living room with a stove where guests can sit together, read a book, to listen music or simply admire the outdoor landscape; and a spacious stone bathroom.
At the first floor there are:
2 double rooms and 1 twin room.
In the main double room there is a wonderful fresco that represents Civitella Ranieri Fortress. This fortress is located in Umbertide, a town nearby, and it is an important place of an international art foundation.
All rooms are spacious and bright, from the windows guests have a stunning view of the Tuscany countryside
Outside there is a splendid garden full of flowers with a Jacuzzi to refresh you during the hot summer days and a veranda where eat al fresco.
Looking at the valley, you’ll see the marvellous olive grove that gently goes down the hill: it’s one of the best view of the valley.
In the property there is a natural water source with very pure waters, rich in healthy mineral salt and you can drink this superb water without any risk
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the whole house.
Guests have a private space in the back of the house to park their car.
Other things to note
Around both Umbria and Tuscany there are a lot of medieval hilltop villages and towns to visit: Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Citerna, Castiglion Fiorentino or Anghiari.
The most famous Umbrian and Tuscany cities (Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, Cortona, Siena, Florence) are all within an hour and half drive from Casa di Patri.
Cortona one of the most important Tuscany medieval town is a 30 minute drive from the villa.
There are various local festivals and events throughout the year, many with a food theme: these are good opportunities to get a feel of local culture.
Every day, in a different town near the villa, there is a local market where you can find organic vegetables and products such as olive oil, fruit jams, cold cuts, truffles and so on.
