About this property
Normandie (Manche) 4-star GITE de CHARME, spacious, comfortable, enclosed garden
Gite de l'Aunelle
classified Meublés de Tourisme 4 stars
Charming stone house, nestled in the heart of the Normandy countryside, very spacious, tastefully decorated, quality services. Garage and fully enclosed planted land. Ideal for family holidays, visiting the region.
Ground floor: Hall, living room, magnificent living room where you can share your meals around a 'monastery' table in a Norman setting and relax enjoying the charm of a large open fireplace.
In the kitchen, everything is at your disposal to offer you quality equipment in a pleasant and functional space.
Upstairs, the same refinement was brought to the decoration of the 3 bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC.
Located on the border of the department of Manche and Calvados, near the A84 motorway (3 km), it is halfway between the landing beaches (65 km - 1 h) and Mont Saint-Michel (72 km - 50 min)
Its geographic location in the center of Manche is an ideal starting point for discovering Lower Normandy and in particular the coast of the Manche department and its 350 km of coastline, namely:
ON THE WEST COAST
- to the south: Saint-Malo, corsair town, Mont Saint-Michel a must-see tourist site, Granville its fishing and sailing port. Going up the coast you can enjoy an extraordinary and varied coastline with its dunes, its harbors (La Vanlée, Regnéville and St-Germain-sur-Ay), its coastal towns where you can stroll, practice fishing on foot or enjoy excellent local gastronomy without forgetting the islands of Chausey, Jersey, Guernsey, Sark (many daily maritime connections from Granville or Barneville-Carteret)
- further north: a detour is essential at the Moulin de Vauville the Osmonville biscuit factory without forgetting Barneville-Carteret, La Pointe de la Hague, Le Nez de Jobourg, Auderville and its renowned restaurant 'La Malle aux épices', Port Racine smallest port in europe and then Cherbourg its ferry terminal and La Cité de la Mer.
ON THE EAST COAST
Going down you will discover Le Val de Saire, Le Phare de Gatteville, Barfleur, St-Vaast-la-Hougue and then Sainte-Mère Eglise and the famous landing beaches without forgetting the American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer and the Memorial of Caen.
Closer to us and CENTER MANCHE
Saint-Lô and its Saturday market where local products are widely represented without forgetting the stalls of fish, seafood and shellfish. Saint-Lô is also a city where it is good to stroll at the foot of its ramparts and without forgetting its national stud farm. Villedieu les Poêles and its bell foundry, Torigni-sur-Vire, its castle, and its typical Monday market, its pedalos and for thrill seekers the Bungy (bungee jumping) at the Souleuvre viaduct. Champrepus zoo is a visit not to be missed for young and old!.
