The property has many of it's original features and consists of two double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) and a single bedroom over three floors. The upper floor consists of two bedrooms and a bathroom, whilst the third bedroom (with en-suite) is located towards the back of the property in the basement. The layout of the property is ideal for two couples to have independent space, whilst sharing the lounge and kitchen areas. Modern basement kitchen leading onto enclosed garden. Central heating throughout the property. A wood burner is located in the kitchen dining area therefore making it a relaxed place to cook and catch up with the family and/or friends any time of the year. Large lounge area with: double sofas, an electric piano, and television on the middle floor. Free Wi-Fi is included too!

NB: The property has open stairs so children should be supervised at all times and is not suitable for children under the age of five years. The property is also not suitable for people with restricted mobility. Unfortunately pets are not allowed.

Perfect location for a London stay

Our second stay at this delightful Islington property. Minutes away from the Regency Canal, quiet road, close to all amenities. A home from home for a few days in London.

Excellent Location for Family or Group

My husband and I stayed here with our three sons. Loved the location and walking along the canal to the tube station. When in the mood for a longer walk, we could reach a great number of sights on foot. Owners were easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Stay in Islington

We (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child) stayed at this property for a week. It was a delightful spot. The house had enough space for us to all decompress in different spots after a lot of togetherness. The home is walkable to bakeries and grocery stores, while being very quiet. The canal location was lovely, as was the garden. We primarily took the bus, which stopped a few blocks away. Our stay was wonderful!

Islington visit

The flat is very nice - just as advertised. The neighborhood is really nice and generally quiet, except for people leaving nearby bars - was an issue only Saturday night. Host was great to work with

Fabulous location. Peaceful yet only a few tube stops away from London! The house is great: especially the basement floor. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return! Missing it already .

Beautiful excursion base for London and the surrounding area.

The house is simply superb. There were 5 of us: two children and three adults. Beautiful kitchen with dining area on the lower ground floor. It's just nice to come home after a day in London and have plenty of space. Islington itself is also very nice. Nice short walk along the canal e.g. to Angel tube station. Nice (affordable) pubs within walking distance. Small supermarket around the corner. For us the London trip was just great.

Great place for a longer stay

I really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space for myself and two friends. The location was really lovely; the canal is super fun to walk along. It’s a little far from the Tube station (maybe 15+ min?) but there are a couple bus stations that are closer to a 5 min walk. The bedroom with an attached bath is pretty small; it’s very nice, but might be difficult for more than one person to fit everything. Overall this was a great place to stay!

Renting rough in Islington

Perfect location, loved being on the canal, and our property owner was helpful and responsive. Beds, heating and hot water were fine. Applicances were querky but functioned. However, the place desparately needs a refresh. The living room fireplace in the picture didn't function and the furniture needs replacing; the kitchen drawers were not clean and the kitchen chairs were wobbly. Garden needed tending to but was charaming otherwise.

Perfect for our family with a wonderful setting and host

The 3 of us were here for over two weeks, so we needed lots of space, handy food, and a nice neighborhood. This house absolutely fit the bill. A quiet spot just a block from walks along the canal, a grocery just a block away, the choices of the Angel "superstores" a 10 minute walk away. The street is double wide, so air and sun abundant. We really liked having 3 separate floors so we could be together in the oversize kitchen/dining room or in the equally spacious living room/study. But also time apart in separate floors and bedrooms, The sweet garden view gave nice air as well. Our hosts were on top of every question we had, and restaurant delivery suggestions and options were plentiful when we didn't want to cook. We really felt like locals in London, rather than just tourists.

Wonderful Stay

Our family of five - two adults and three tween/teens stayed for 6 nights and had a fabulous time. The location is great - Short walk along the lovely canal to the metro. Kitchen was well stocked and the house had plenty of room for us. The bed was a bit small (we are tall people), but it worked. We had a fantastic vacation. Diane was wonderful to work with leading up to our visit.

Two wonderful weeks!

My two teenage boys and I had two fantastic weeks in London. The location was great and we really loved the house. We enjoyed Islington, the canal walk, Shoreditch park, London Fields and so much more. We surely will come back!

Good house in interesting location

The house is large and has everything needed. Shabby chic in parts but makes for relaxing stay. Parking outside was perfect for us ( no charges Sundays and Bank Holidays). Hope to return.

Lovely home, great location

We so enjoyed our stay; house was welcoming and well equipped - the photo of the blackened fireplace doesn't do it justice. The location near the canal was perfect. Our grandchildren loved getting to the tube via a canal full of interesting houseboats.

4 adults stayed in this very nice traditional London home. The neighborhood was perfect and located close to the bus line that took us to the tube stations in the area. 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms worked just fine for us. Ms. Howard was responsive and very easy to work with.

Quaint townhouse

We enjoyed our stay and felt the house was adequate for our needs. It’s in a convenient area of London and taking the tube to all the attractions we wanted to see was very easy. Our only concern was the house was not very clean. I notified the owner and she offered to have the cleaner come back but I declined I did not want this person there if we weren’t. I myself did some cleaning in the kitchens and bathrooms to meet my satisfaction. Also they do not supply face cloths or hand towels which I thought was strange but maybe that is not the British way. Other than that it was comfortable and provided a place to rest after a full day of walking and exploring. I would recommend this property

Everything about this rental property is excellent. The location in Islington near the canal was wonderful. It is conveniently near restaurants and shopping. Guests are encouraged to use all the facilities including laundry. The owner was prompt in answering any questions and indeed anticipates most questions in her information. The kitchen is excellent; the bedrooms comfortable. Highly recommended all around.
