This newly renovated and freshly decorated 2 bedroom 1 bath home feels like your favorite sweater. Completely renovated and redecorated, the home features everything you would want in a home away from home! New Beautyrest beds, flat screen TV's in Living Room and each bedroom. Outdoor space calls to you, with its beautiful firepit and sectional sofa curved around it, all in a private fenced courtyard under the gracious towering Oak namesake. This is our 3rd vacation rental and we travel a lot ourselves; we really understand what our fellow travelers want in a home away from home. Fully equipped kitchen lets you prepare a meal from scratch, heat up leftovers, or bring in from any one of the many local restaurant choices. You'll love sipping a glass of wine in the evening, basking in the warmth of the gas firepit, as the gently gurgling of the waterfall soothes away your tensions and you get into SlowNoma-Speed!

We loved everything about this rental. It was located in a lovely neighborhood and had excellent parking. It is well furnished with comfortable beds, quality linens, laundry facilities, and everything you could need in the kitchen. It has a wonderful outdoor space with a firepit, grill, and seating. The hosts were very helpful with everything you needed to know about the house and the local area. We would stay here again and again.

A great place to stay as we explored Point Reyes Seashore, Jack London State Park, Sonoma Botanical Garden, area restaurants, and enjoyed spring like weather for us Easterners ( while our kids played in 2-3 feet of snow from the weekend East Coast snowstorm!).The home has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a peaceful, relaxing yard. We enjoyed our stay!

We did a girls' spa/wine tasting weekend, and this house was perfect for that! It is so comfortable and inviting, from the way it is decorated inside, to the zen spaces outside, to the incredibly comfortable beds. We absolutely loved it and would stay here again for sure. The location was very close to several restaurants and was easy to drive to or Uber.

This is the rare VRBO where the pictures don't do it justice! Nicely furnished, kitchen is fully equipped for actual cooking (i.e., gas range, kitchen tools, etc.), the front patio is awesome! Communication with the hosts was prompt and courteous. Would definitely stay again.

Great little place to stay when visiting Sonoma area. In a great, convenient location just a quick five minute drive to the square. The easiest check in/check out ever. The space is just like the pictures and description. It has everything you need and is decorated so cute. The bonus is the huge outdoor space. A great place to relax under the large oak tree listening to the fountain while spending time with family and friends. We 100% recommend.

Relaxing weekend getaway

Needed a place to stay for a 5K in Sonoma and this was the perfect spot. Just a short ride away from Sonoma Plaza and local wineries, plus just a few minutes away from some great restaurants. Would definitely recommend for a small group for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Itenerant travelers ourselves, we frequently stay in vacation rental houses and apartments, as well as everything from hostels to 5-star resorts. We understand what travelers want in a vacation rental, and we strive to exceed your expectations. Since we own a local furniture store, all of the furnishings are new and very nicely appointed.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because we have 2 other Lazy Oak properties which we vacation rental, and we thought this home really would get our guests 'into the trees'. Seeing the potential of this 1920's home made us not let it get away, and the renovation corrected its quirks.

What makes this property unique

Sitting in the shade of the big Oak tree will enable our guests to breath deep and slow down and enjoy life a little more. The patio under the tree is very private, and the sound of the waterfall fountain will bring a smile to your face. The home is beautifully appointed, and there are great restaurants and coffee houses a short walk away. Of course, world-class wine tasting is all around us here in the wine country! Plus, we are a 7 minute drive to Sonoma Plaza.
