Modern 3 bedroom detached pool home on beautiful canal. 2 Children free

Welcome to our beautiful Florida Villa which is situated on a wide fresh water canal with lovely gardens in SE Cape Coral. The heated pool with detachable child’s safety mesh fence overlooks the canal and gardens with access to the pool and lanai (patio) from four rooms plus one bathroom via sliding patio doors. The entire house with the exception of the children's bedroom is built around the pool and lanai with large sliding patio windows.These doors have child proof alarms. The villa with it's 2200 sq ft living area is built to a split room design ideal for 2 families and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, 2 dining areas, large family room and lounge. The villa is single story with cathedral ceilings, privately owned with easy wheelchair access. New furniture has been recently purchased for much of the villa. We have also modernized the kitchen and installed a new extended pool cage. If you don't want to venture out the property is ideal for a quiet holiday in a gorgeous private setting.
You can sit on the dock and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the canal, fish off the dock, in the canal. Fishing poles, , bicycles are provided.

Great Location, beautiful quiet neighborhood

Home was exactly as pictured and very roomy. The pool was refreshing and backyard canal view very quiet and relaxing. What I especially liked about the house was the close location to stores and downtown Cape. The other plus was the availability of bicycles tat the property, truely a bonus. We would stay here again!

The house was good for what we needed and we were perfect for the house. The house is a bit quirky and needs some updates (a cabinet almost feel on my head when I opened it, the lights flicker and may not turn on all the way, the pool heater didn't work, and the white couches in the entry living room could not be used as it would cover you in the white leather pieces). With that said we loved the location, the house did have amazing features that were great for our larger family, the neighbors were awesome, and we saw lots of wildlife. The dock was probably our favorite part of the whole house and even if the pool was cold we enjoyed the available space it offered. The hosts were very easy to talk to and communicated through Vrbo (no check-in packet at house) but was easy to understand and we had everything we needed for check in and check out.

We enjoyed our stay. Was disappointed to hear the pool was not in operation, that was the main reason for staying there. Wish the beds were a bit more comfortable. Large home with plenty of extras and clean.

We had a problem with the electric spur for the pool heater on electric panel which made the heater inoperable. This did not affect the pool. Unfortunately there a wait for a permit from the city. It is now operational.

Great communication from owners all the time. Villa was spotless and very welcoming on arrival, pictures don’t do it justice, so much space in the villa and around the pool. .pool was lovely and warm all the time. Area was great and just a short drive to all the area amenities. Hope to visit again.

The house was clean and nicely equipped although dated. Great location. Pool area and lanai were dirty. Pool was dirty and cold, not cleaned during the week as stated.

I would absolutely stay at this location again

My only complaint is that we couldn’t get in the property till four hours after I check in time, due to how dirty the previous renters left the property. In addition, I was extremely disappointed that the pool was not heated for our use.

A nice place in a very quiet neighborhood

The house is as advertised. It was very comfortable, plenty of towels, dishware etc. Any problems we had were taken care of in a very timely manner. The beds were very comfortable. There is no parking in the garage but the driveway is large enough to accommodate 4 cars. There is no cable tv but there was 1 ROKU and antennas for some analog stations. We bought another ROKU for ourselves and that was sufficient. As I said in the title, it is a very nice neighborhood. Grocery stores, drugstores, and restaurants are all nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Nice location, beds comfortable, plenty of space; kitchen equipped well, plenty of linen, patio/lanai very nice. Owner was willing to work with us, so definitely a plus. Cons: Biggest disappointment pool heater not functioning, owner is working on repairs. Living room furniture uncomfortable, toaster oven controls not working, ice maker not working, dryer took extra cycles to dry clothes, no ladder on dock so couldn't use kayak, and a few other items with a list sent to owner.

We had a problem with the electric spur for the pool heater on electric panel which made the heater inoperable. This did not affect the pool. Unfortunately there was a wait for a permit from the city which delayed the repair. It is now operational. The guest were generously compensated. The toaster oven will be removed or replaced. There are ice trays in the freezer. There is a ladder at the neighbors which can be used if the guests wished to use the kayak. It is possible to use the kayak without the ladder but we will look into installing one. at no time did the guest mention any of the items other than the pool heater. If she had we would have dealt with it.

A very objective review. Unfortunately our Kayak was stolen shortly prior to John's arrival. The carpet was a problem as it was stained by a previous guests and our cleaner did not clean it and we were unable to schedule a professional cleanser while the house was occupied. It. We didn't advertise golf clubs or hot tub but have taken note of it. The carpet has been cleaned.

Lots of problems

Biggest thing was no hot water, and know efforts to fix. Many of the outdoor furniture was broken. Dishes in the cabinet had dirty food on them. Was told that the people before us also had problems with hot water. This ws one of the worst homes we've stayed in.

This review is a total exaggeration. This person sent an email when he arrived just saying problems. He mentioned the garden furniture which 2 items required repairs but were usable. There are a variety of other items of garden furniture which could have been used. We did send someone out to check the hot water. No other guests before or after him have had a problem. When you look at the review there is nothing which would justify a 2. Very unfortunate booking. I cannot comment on the food left on dishes as he did not mention it when we spoke but I doubt very much that it was more than one or 2 dishes. Our cleaner would have been over to correct any problems. We were never asked. We have replaced the patio furniture, see photos and have replaced both elements and thermostats on the hot water heater.

Stayed here for Christmas break, house is very nice and big. Location is great. Nice neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. Pool wasn’t cleaned which was a bummer. Someone came to look at it said he was going to get a vacuum and never came back. The house had spiders which I wasn’t to comfortable with. There was webs with big spiders and baby spiders in the corners of most of the house. When contacted the house manger she said it was probably because the roof was redone and they got in that way. I told her maybe the cleaning people should clean a little better she said she was the cleaner and would definitely look into that when cleaning. House manager was good and very nice and answered me right away when I texted her. Overall great stay!

First impressions were disappointing

Nice home and great location. Pictures were deceiving as carpet, ceiling fans, vents and some kitchen items were dirty. Vanity lights in 2nd bathroom not working. Panels missing in blinds for privacy. Overall, the pool and surrounding area were great despite not being able to use it for 5 days because the pool heating system only worked sporadically due to the breaker switch tripping. Disintegrating pool cover left plastic pieces in the pool. In general, the host was responsive to our concerns. With some maintenance and updates, this would be a fabulous VRBO stay. We will not be staying here again.

This review was not surprising as most of what is identified the guest informed us about after he departed when he asked for compensation. Saying that what was written in the review did not justify such a low review. We had no chance to inspect or correct the discrepancies.The only problem he identified when he arrived was stain on the carpet. The pool heater he let us know 5 days later. We offered to get the carpet cleaned but he refused. The carpet had been shampooed in December but had been stained by previous guests.Nothing else was mentioned during his stay. The ceiling fans, vents, etc were not dirty. We have cathedral ceilings and I cleaned them all in December. You need a large stepladder to access them.They do not get dirty in 6 weeks. He may have mistook the colour of the large fan in the bedroom as dirt. I do not know which kitchen items he refers to. The pool heater had a problem with the main switch. We have had a pool technician out and then an electrician who found and replaced the faulty switch. Once the guest informed us about the problem with the help of our pool guy he had a heated pool.The guest did not need to use the pool cover. If he had informed us I would have asked him not to use it until we replaced it. Evidently the panels missing from the blinds were for the doors from the kitchen to the lanai and would not effect anyone's privacy. Few people use that blind. Most of what he wrote were general statements few specifics.

April in Cape Coral

My friend and I have husbands who graciously agree to us leaving them, the dogs and Michigan winter behind for a "girls month" in Cape Coral. We had a wonderful time this year and were very grateful to Doug and Di for sharing their home with us. We were very happy with our rental home. "Pros": The home was very clean and is as pictured on the VRBO site. The location was great for us. Everything we needed or wanted to go was within a hour of the home. We went to Fort Myers, Sanibel, and Naples. We are beyond the "beach scene" age so we spent alot of our time at the pool and lanai. Cape Coral and Fort Myers beaches are within 20 -30 minutes of the house. We sometimes walk the beach at night or eat somewhere there so the distance is reasonable. The kitchen is equiped with everything you might need and pantry closet very adequate. Because we cook alot of our meals, the only thing we missed was a crockpot so we purchased one and donated it to the items already there. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens for both bedrooms and baths. All bedrooms have walk in closets which we really appreciated. It's nice to be able to get the luggage out of site until it's time to go home. The garage stores their boat and car so is unusable space to renters. We had a couple issues while we were there but things that are just part of home maintenance. Doug and Di were very prompt in answering my calls and did everything they could to resolve the problems quickly. The only "con": The furniture in the family room with the TV is very uncomfortable. Because we read more than watch TV, it wasn't a huge inconvenience. We used the living room or did puzzles at the table. Because of a medical emergency at home in Michigan, we had to pack to leave in a hurry a couple days early. Doug and Di were very understanding as was the cleaning woman. All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing time and are looking forward to returning in April 2023.

Very nice home

The owners are very accommodating and there were plenty of supplies for me to use. The place is very clean and in a safe neighborhood. The location is convenient and easy to get groceries and sight see. The photos are accurate that you see on VRBO. The open floor plan is well designed and very spacious. The pool is wonderful! I enjoyed my time there a lot. I would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful home

I can't day enough positive things about this property. It has everything you need and we were able to check in early. Freindly neighbors and near stores so it was very convienient. The pool was great and we even caught a couple of fish off the dock. There was 3 of us but the house could easily accomodate more.

We are unique in many ways. The design of the property allows direct access to the lanai and pool areas from all rooms except one bedroom. The heated pool is has expanded space around. The canal is a huge asset which is great for fishing and kayaking. We also have great wildlife.
