About this property

Casa da Aldeia, smell the aroma of grape harvest

The Estreito de Câmara de Lobos is a quiet village located 10 minutes (driving) from Funchal, known for its terraced land, where the famous vineyards that grow the grapes for our Madeira Wine.

Integrated in a residential area that is in tune with an agricultural area, this house has 80 years, which are visible by the traditional architecture, with stone walls and classic decoration that offers all the comfort and quality, thanks to the recent refurbishment of this house.

This property is composed by: three bedrooms, two with double bed and one with two single beds and has a maximum capacity for six people. In the remaining part of the house you can find the largest of comforts, from the living room to the kitchen, in old Madeiran house style.

Outside the house there is a generous space where you can rest and enjoy the sea view or contemplate the beautiful scenery of the vineyards in contrast to Cabo Girão, which is about three kilometers from the property.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Câmara de Lobos is known for its economic activities that are focused on fishing and agriculture. Besides being a land of fishermen and farmers, this city is one of the main points of the gastronomic tradition of Madeira, where Espetada and Madeira Wine represent part of the region's identity.

In addition to the traditional restaurants, here you will find Cabo Girão, one of the largest capes in Europe, as well as other leisure activities.

A medium-sized supermarket is a 10-minute drive away. In the center of Câmara de Lobos or in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, you will find several restaurants and small shops.

Funchal is a 10-minute drive from the airport, 30 minutes away.

Perfecta relación calidad-precio

La casa es bastante grande, puedes guardar el coche dentro y tiene buenas vistas a un valle. El dueño es una persona muy amable que a parte de enseñarnos la casa nos dio recomendaciones de turismo y sitios para comer, la única cosa mala que puedo decir es que la calle de acceso es muy estrecha y inclinada, pero cabe un coche sin problemas.

Nice place to stay with a family

We had a nice week in the Casa da Aldeia! Perfect to stay with the family because of the two bedrooms upstairs plus bathroom, and the third bedroom downstairs with an additional bath and the kitchen. In the evening we set on the terasse with view to the sea, a small waterfall and banana plants in the surounding. The equipment of the house was complete and clean. Andrea and family

Geschmackvoll ausgestattetes altes Haus mit Charme

Wir haben uns in diesem alten Steinhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es liegt an einer sehr schmalen, sehr steilen Straße, in der Nachbarschaft sind weitere alte Häuser und Bananen-Plantagen. Wir hatten kein Auto, was von uns einige Sportlichkeit abverlangte, um abends aus dem Ortszentrum wieder zum Haus hinauf zu steigen (aber die ältere einheimische Bevölkerung hat dies ja auch ein Leben lang so bewältigt). Im Ortszentrum gibt es Bushaltestellen. Der Ort hat einen Kieselstrand. Wir würden erneut in diesem Haus wohnen wollen, vielleicht dann aber doch mit Auto :-)

Nice house with a big outside area

Big rooms, everything is very clean and the outside area is great to have a good time with family and friends. The road to the house is a big small but you get used to it. Great service and also very good location (close to Funchal but still in a very quite neighbourhood). We recommend it.

Sehr schönes Haus,

Tolles Ambiente. Wünschen würden wir uns noch eine überdachte Sitz Möglichkeit draußen. Einziger Kritikpunkt, aber nicht an den Vermieter, der etwas zu oft bellende Nachbars Hund. Das arme Tier wird aber nur auf seiner Terrasse eingepfercht. Schade. Toller Urlaub

Très belle propriété

Notre séjour c’est bien déroulé, Les plus : propres, bien entretenu, literies très correctes, belle extérieur. Les moins : aboiements du chien d’un voisin très près de la fenêtre de la chambre principale, manque des rangements.

Great house

Greatly renovated house with fantastic outside yards to enjoy the beautiful weather and landscape! Bedrooms were very cosy and we enjoyed our stay. Location is not the best even if you are an experienced driver! The first approach (up or down) were (words here do not suffice :-)) despite no accidents. It is a super house, however, located in a dramatic street! We had no problems in the end but I do think I got an extra plus in my driving license capabilities (and I am a good driver ;-))!

Really nice house with good equipment and an excellent view

Everything was more than fine and we would really recommend it. House has a good equipment, owner is fantastic and helpful, view is AMAZING. :) Enough space for 6 people (2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, 4 sunbeds, parking space for min 2 cars and BBQ corner. Camara de Lobos is a nice village and a good starting point for trips through Madeira. Supermarket only 5min drive with a large selection (you get there everything you need incl. fresh bread, meat & fish).

Top sauberes Haus

Alles super, sehr nette Vermieter, unkompliziert. Einziges wirkliches Manko ist die Nachbarschaft: Hund auf der Terasse der z.T. früh endlos kläfft. Überhaupt viel Hundegebell und Hähnekrähen nachts in der Siedlung. Also wir haben dann bei geschlossenem Fenster geschlafen, was bei höheren Temperaturen auch nicht so prall ist.
