Das Good Cabin Quiet Family Ranch Style Cabin Near Pa Grand Canyon/Hunting

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have enhanced our cleaning and disinfection procedures, to help give our guests peace of mind during their stay. During this time, when visiting stores and attractions in the area that are open, we ask that all persons please practice social distancing, and be prepared to where a mask.


Located in the heart of the Tioga State Forest, relax and refresh in our recently updated cabin. Miles from nowhere, yet minutes from everywhere. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, spacious great room, with sofa, recliner, futon, and sitting chair. A large deck for relaxing with family and friends, watching wildlife, or stargazing at night. After relaxing, take in the beautiful Pa Grand Canyon, Corning Museum Of Glass, antiquing and dining in Wellsboro or Mansfield.
Or step back in time and watch a flick at the restored Victorian theatre in Blossburg.
Many wildlife creatures have been spotted from the deck: including deer, bear, turkey, fox, marten, squirrels and chipmunks. Birds, butterflies and moths, can be seen as well. Enjoy your outdoor activities on the large yard, or take a hike on the private rd. Hiking, biking, and 4 wheeling right from the front door. Fantastic fishing at nearby lakes including Hills Creek State Park, or minutes away from County Bridge park for trout fishing. Just a short walk to access thousands of acres of Tioga Sate Forest for hunting, hiking, or bird watching. Only 5 miles from the Fallbrook water falls.

From the early mornings that were spent on the back porch with a cup of coffee- to the late nights on the front porch with nice cold beverage in the rain! Just a great weekend getaway spot! Don’s cabin was great! It was my family’s first time out in that area and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the peace and quiet the cabin provides, making fires every night in the fire pit, and yet having the small luxury of WiFi so we could enjoy rooting for the Phillies on the tv! It was extremely clean and organized. We enjoyed exploring Overlook falls, and horseback riding with Tioga Trail Rides! Don was always easy to get a hold of as well! Thank you again!

Clean and organized. Well maintained. Secluded area. If you like to get away from it all, its a great stay. The whole family loved it. My kids are set on having the exact cabin for are next trip to tioga. Its a bit far from anything which is exactly what I wanted. The roads leading in to get to the cabin are mountain roads so keep that in mind. I cant wait to visit again.

This was a great place to stay while exploring Tioga State Parks vast area and nature. DAS Good Cabin features everything you need to experience the serenity of the area, while still having modern amenities we rely on. The cabin is just the right size and setup to give an at home feeling without overwhelming you. It is clean, well maintained and well thought out. This trip was for our Dad's 70th birthday. He doesn't really go to places like this, but he loved it! We look forward to staying at DAS Good in the near future to spend more time at peace, and hopefully catch some trout!

The cabin was built as a shell in 2006, the next owner finished the inside in 2011. Then in 2014, the cabin became ours and we made some changes including some additional wood walls, paint, and change some kitchen features. After enjoying many "GOOD" times with all of the wildlife and nature, we decided to share our get away with others. We especially enjoy watching the wildlife from the deck, and the dark starlit skies at night.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property for a quiet getaway, yet close to everything. It's cozy, quiet, and can be just down right relaxing. It is compact, but gets the job done.

What makes this property unique

The large deck allows for relaxing in the sun or shade, (morning sun, and afternoon shade), and is a great place to enjoy the wildlife, or simply read a book.
