An amazing house overlooking to the sea. Every description of the place is accurate. Of all the places that we went in Sicily, we felt like the home was situated in a perfect location (close to Palermo, can drive Cefalu and to Taormina). The little town had great local grocery and butcher shop.

Underwhelmed
The place was ok, just not as great as we expected. It felt and smelled damp and musty (especially the beds) the entire stay, although we saw no evidence of mold or mildew. The hot tub didn't work for the first half of the week and when it did, the breaker tripped a couple of times. Also, a lot of gray area regarding the "private" beach. We got the sense that other people staying near us perceived this area to be theirs, as well. The annex bedroom was really damp and musty smelling. The bathroom was in bad shape and dirty. Still an old washcloth and bar of soap in the shower. Patio cushions were old and tattered. Bedroom cabinets are old and paint is peeling.
We've travelled to Italy for 20 years and have stayed in plenty of homes. For the price, we expected a much better experience. It felt like the house wasn't prepared for us. We wouldn't stay here again.
Property is in an excellent location from the busy life of Palermo. It was quiet with great amenities and only a short drive to Palermo. The owner was very responsive to a couple small issues. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.
We greatly enjoyed our 5 nights in this lovely home. We were graciously welcomed by Giovanni as Giorgio was out of town; in addition to a thorough review of the home, he invited us to use the downstairs space in their absence and left us the fixings of our first nights dinner and morning breakfast. The spaces are exactly what you need, and the outdoor seating areas offer lots of variety during the day...you can move with the sun or find your shade. We used the hot tub, and the more adventurous did some stand up paddleboarding and kayaking. It was a perfect getaway...half way between Palermo and cefalu so we got to sightsee in both directions with a 40 minute drive
Giovanni and his family gave us a really friendly welcome - from directions to the villa and local amenities, to a great selection of local food and wine to get us started. The villa has some great features - the terrace has a spectacular view and acts as a lovely sun trap in the mornings and the paddle boards are great fun to use from the jetty. The only downsides were that the jacuzzi didn't work during our visit (I'm sure this will be fixed as soon as the part arrives) and that we did suffer from mosquitos - this is probably down to the time of year. Overall, a very nice property in a great location that is convenient for the airport, Palermo and Cefalu.
