AppartamentoAlagona is a 40 sqm holiday home located on the first floor of a building on the historic Via Alagona, in the heart of the island of Ortigia, in Syracuse. The apartment consists of a living room with equipped kitchenette and double sofa bed, bathroom and dressing room with washing machine. The master bedroom is located in the mezzanine. The apartment has a small balcony inside the courtyard of the building.
The apartment is equipped with kitchen, electric oven, kettle, washing machine, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and fans, hairdryer, coat rack, iron, travel ironing board, shower cubicle.
Ideal for two people, it can comfortably accommodate three thanks to the double sofa bed.
Located in the beautiful island of Ortigia, a few steps from the Levante promenade, the apartment is in a strategic position to reach all the places of historical and tourist interest on the island: the solariums of Levante (Forte Vigliena and Nettuno), via Maestranza, with its Baroque buildings, Piazza Archimede, Piazza Duomo, the characteristic open-air market and the Miqwé (Jewish ritual purification baths). The house is 3 km from the Neapolis archaeological park (Greek theater, Ear of Dionysius) and about 10 km from the seaside area (Arenella / Fontane bianca).

Great place.

Both the owner and her mother were extremely friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating -- which is something that showed not just during our communications, but even upon arrival, it showed from small touches she left, such as leaving a bottle of water in the fridge, leaving a small Welcome message on a blackboard in the kitchen, and so on. The house itself was very clean, cozy, and quiet; located in a great position close to the Lungomare d'Ortigia, but at the same time not too distant from the Fountain of Diana, it's a great place to stay if you're looking to travel and see Siracusa by foot.
