This is our first visit to Scobach Lodge.
This is our first visit to Scobach Lodge. The lodge is very spacious and well furnished. It was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. A few more mugs would have been welcomed! Solid dining set at the French doors. The view overlooks the golden fields to Turriff. The farmers were very busy harvesting their crops. Comfy lounge sofas and 2 well worn, but comfortable bucket chairs. TV & DVD player. Open fire and basket of logs provided. We gathered twigs as kindling from the ground surrounding the lodge - large (mostly) beech trees. Large utility room with 5 drawered freezer, washing machine (did not use) and tumble drier. 3 good sized bedrooms. Double ensuite also spacious. Minor glitch with the heating system. However, a phone call to the owner and within a couple of hours, Andy & John had us toasty again! 10 out of 10 for customer care service. There is a request from the cleaner to put all used towels and bedlinen in the laundry bag provided, when leaving. No argument with that. However, when I took the duvet cover off, it revealed a very soiled quilt. Same with the 2 soft pillows. This was a huge disappointment, because up until then we had thought the lodge of extremely high standard. Just a suggestion - could there be 3 sets of duvets & pillows for each bed, to allow washing/sanitising for each let? Given the current situation with coronavirus? Otherwise, this is a very well thought out and maintained lodge. We would consider return visits.

Es war alles super und wie beschrieben. Die Lage ist leider für uns nicht optimal gewesen. Aber das war uns vorher schon bekannt.

This lodge was very beautiful and cosy once we got the heating sorted out.
This lodge was very beautiful and cosy once we got the heating sorted out. Very quiet and secluded. My only complaint was from my grandson who thought the bed was not very comfortable.
