This unit could not have been in a better location! A beautiful, two block walk to downtown historic Florence. The unit itself was updated with nice finishes, but the historic attitude of the building still shown through. The host was extremely communicative from the very beginning through the end. We would definitely stay here again!
We love this little spot in Florence. It is very comfortable and cozy, very clean and had everything we needed. It is a great location - walking distance to the cute downtown area of Florence where there are lots of great restaurants. We loved sitting out on this front porch at night, very relaxing in a very quiet neighborhood. We come to Florence on business quite a bit and have decided this is our go-to place to stay. We have stayed here twice and will be back!
The place was quaint, clean, and in a quiet neighbor hood. A quick walk to food.

Very comfortable condo!
A lovely older property that has been updated. Located in a quiet neighborhood. It has a lovely covered porch; a nice place to start or end a fun day in Florence!

Thanks for your review Michael and thanks for being my guest! The big front porch and balcony are the most mentioned features of this Historical Landmark along with all.of the modern amenities. I think it makes a great combination for my guests so I'm very glad you made good use of it during your stay and I hope to hear back from you again in the future!
My husband and I were in town to visit relatives for a few days. The place was as advertised. Comfortable king sized bed (we didn’t use the queen bedroom since it was just us.) We did try to contact the owner because the WiFi wasn’t working, but never heard back from him. It really wasn’t an issue for us since we didn’t spend much time there anyways. Very close to downtown.

I'm glad you and your husband enjoyed your stay. I recently updated the WiFi to provide the fastest available so not sure if that was an issue or not at that time but I apologize since Im not sure why I didn't receive your message about that but I provide at least three contact phone numbers including my property manager and my family member to help provide guest services to help expedite whatever my guests need so I will follow up on that and make any changes needed. Thanks again, safe travels and I hope to hear back from you in the future!

Worst VRBO stay in years!!!
Owner locked us illegally out. We Had to have the police called to help retrieve our items from the unit a day earlier than expected.

Unfortunately this guest was not truthful about how many pets he had staying in his Condo. We discovered the other pets after hearing them barking non stop at the back door while cleaning the other Condo next door. We didn't evict him but only asked that he pay the other pet fees owed. He didn't respond for over two days and when he did he stated that the other guests had pets and that he wasn't going to pay for his others because of this reason? As we will explained to him, all other guests had paid their pet fees and we're abiding by the pet agreement. He texted us one day before his final departure date and stated they had vacated the property but didn't give any information that they would be back so we changed the code, which is standard procedure. They came back the next time day trying to get in and when they noticed they were unable to enter he assumed we had locked him out Intentionally and in less than 30 minutes before we received his message, he was threatening to have the police to kick the door down and called the police to the property. Our maintenance man was there within less than an hour to let them re-enter the Condo but we decided at that point, after his demeanor, threats and calling us names etc., he was a high risk guest and at that point we asked them to leave. He threatened again that it would take them over 24 hours to get vacate the property. Fortunately it only took a few hours for them to leave. He never paid his other pet fees due and never tried to deny that he had other pets but just that the other guests had some and he didn't feel he owed anything else? He said things like "I can't wait until I get to see you face to face" and "we have instructed the police to kick the door down" etc. Also, this guest rented this Condo for about five weeks and he never had any complaints about his stay or the Condo until we asked him for the other pet fees. We regret we were unable to resolve this issue without issues. We would not recommend this guest for any owner and regret renting to him.

Family Reunion Trip
We booked all 4 apartments in this unit for our family reunion trip. This location was perfect for that purpose. The family was all together but also had privacy when needed. The only mishap was in the initial booking. We were all charged different prices but the units were identical. I didn't really understand the difference in the pricing. Also when I canceled 1 night the total cost of the room didn't change. They just adjusted the price to remain the same. The host was very responsive and the unit was very spacious.

So much potential
The location of this property was great, and the old house has some charm. Walking distance to charming downtown Florence. The host was really great to work with and was flexible to meet our needs.
However; there are some things they could do to improve the stay.
1. Need more lighting. We arrived at night and the place was SO DARK. Nearly all of the outside lights were burned out, and some of the inside lights had 10 watt bulbs in them. It was very dark in most of the rooms.
2. Keypad access is only in the back, which requires you to climb a steep metal staircase if you are on the upper floor.
3. Tend the landscaping. The grass was in desperate need of mowing.
4. Do periodic cleanings if no one has stayed for a while. When we got there you could tell it had been cleaned, but it had been a while, since there was a layer of dust on everything. The front porch was in a state of complete disarray with trash piling up.
5. Add furnishings. The living room was large, but not well furnished. Plenty of space for additional seating.
You can tell the area is developing, and this place is quite charming, just set your expectations that the place is old and has the qualities of an old house (uneven, creaky floors, doors that don't close all the way, small bathroom).

Quiet, quaint, charming
This was exactly what we were looking for. Close to the lake, and close to places to eat. Loved having a full kitchen to cook. The place is old, but charming with modern touches. The owner is wonderful.

Thank you for your kind words Selena! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the convenience of this location! Most people that cook tells me they like the kitchen layout because everything they use in the kitchen is close together and very convenient and the island allows for better flow of the space. But even if one doesn't cook it is large enough for a great gathering spot to just hang out with friends and family. And the location is better than being right downtown since it is just a few blocks away from the nearest bands which allows you to get away from band noise and congestion when needed. I appreciate you taking your time to say a few positive words about this Modern but Historical Landmark and I look forward to hearing back from you in the future! Thanks again for being my guest!

Built in alarm clock - if you want it or not!
Everything was fine until they started mowing the yard at 7:00 am on the last day of our vacation. Why would anyone do that??

Hi Julie,
I completely agree with you! Since I have had this done to me away from home also I had specifically asked the yard service to not do any yard work until after 11am just as I do any worker on all of my short term rentals. So I sincerely apologize and know I can't apologize enough for that but will definitely be finding a different grass cutter in the future! If I can make it up to you in the future please let me know. My sincerest apologies.

Convenient location and comfortable
Our stay here was perfect! Very easy to get downtown and anywhere around town. Quiet neighborhood - great for walks. The unit was clean and comfortable. The unit owner was very responsive to our needs - I can't thank them enough. The front porch looked great but the weather was too cool for us to take advantage of it. I'd highly recommend this location.
