Small, enclosed garden with terrace, garden furniture and BBQ. Garage for storing bikes. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Prospect Cottage has been carefully and comprehensively renovated by the owners, and is a delightful place to stay. Original features have been retained, such as the beautiful stone-mullioned windows, wooden beams and the twisting stone staircase. Meanwhile, the cottage provides welcoming holiday accommodation all year round for two couples or a family of four.
This 17th-century cottage is perfectly located in the picture-postcard village of Kettlewell within the lovely Yorkshire Dales National Park. Surrounded by a stunning backdrop of hills, the walking is superb straight from the door, with strenuous walks up the hills, or gentle strolls along the River Wharfe. The small garden has a terrace with garden furniture, and beautiful views over the Wharfedale hills and stone walls. The nearby river is an ideal place for picnics in summer. Grassington is a short drive away, with its winter Dickensian Festival as well as the 15-day summer Grassington Festival. The market town of Skipton, voted as one of the top 10 places to live (Sunday Times 2016), is approximately 16 miles away. With three pubs in Kettlewell village, all offering food from bar snacks to restaurant-quality food, as well as cafés and a thriving, well-stocked village shop, you are spoilt for choice. Shop 300 yards, pub 200 yards.
