Electric car charging point. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 2 steps to the patio and a fenced mine shaft/house in the owner’s grounds. Maximum occupancy 2 adults. Sorry, no children under 18 years.. This detached, Scandinavian holiday lodge is ideally situated for visiting both the tranquil coves and creeks of the south, and rugged surfing beaches of the north coast. This area was once part of the famous Godolphin Estate (owned by the National Trust and open to the public), and is perfect for those seeking a relaxing holiday, yet within easy driving distance to the coast. Penzance, with its long promenade, outdoor lido, marina, shops and restaurants, is also nearby. The area is ideal for walking, bird watching, sailing and general water sports, fishing and golf. Shops and pubs 3 miles.

Our 2nd visit to Wheal Metal Lodge and we booked our 3rd whilst we were there. Wonderful base to return to after a day exploring and very cosy if the weather is a bit iffy. Comfort and cleanliness plus a very well stocked/maintained garden to relax in. Great location for exploring this end of Cornwall, nothing seems more than a 40 minute drive away and often much less. Friendly, helpful but not intrusive owners. The benchmark for how a good holiday cottage should be.

Our 3rd stay at this wonderful lodge and hoping it won't be our last. Peaceful, private, well equipped, warm and comfortable accommodation. Probably the best shower of any holiday cottage that we have stayed in. Gardens well stocked and maintained. Great view of the adjacent engine house. Really helpful, friendly, yet non-intrusive owners. Our ideal location for a trip to this part of Cornwall. Well situated, with NT Godolphin only 10 mins away and Porthleven, with its' scenic harbour, shops, pubs and fish&chips a mere 15 mins.

We had a fantastic weeks stay in this lovely lodge. The location is stunning so quiet and peaceful yet a short drive from all the resorts and supermarkets. The lodge is beautiful with lovely furnishings and everything you could want for a relaxing stay, set in its own private gardens and is spotlessly clean and really comfy beds. The owners are lovely and very helpful and the property is a credit to them. Would have no hesitation in highly recommending this lodge and we will certainly stay again. Had a great week here.

Had a great week here. Gary was on hand to welcome us and see us settled in. Very cosy lodge, which a choice of garden areas in which to sit and relax. Very impressed by the high standards generally throughout the accommodation. We found this a very convenient base from which to explore the area. Beaches (eg Praa Sands) close by, plus several gardens and heritage sites. We would recommend this accommodation.

Just an amazing holiday. Kevin and Gary are the best hosts really lovely guys. The lodge is perfect and so very clean. Honestly the photos do not do it justice.
