Wonderful property
We had a little bit of confusion on arrival as we were supposed to have had a phone call by the agents (not the owner) to tell us the arrival protocol which didn't happen unfortunately, but that was quickly resolved and we were in the property very smoothly considering. The village is small, there is (as noted before) no shops there, the nearest convenience is in Down Thomas which is a mile+ walk/drive up the steep hill and along narrow road, or a Co-Op around 15mins drive away, there is a bar in the village that does do food, but they quickly sell out of space for meals, so if you fancy a meal there, then book (or cook in the apartment on the great oven and hob etc), a full sea view was wonderful, the beach whilst small and rocky was lovely, as were the walks along the coastal paths to Bovisand, Warren Point, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo (via a seasonal ferry or an 11.5 Mile detour when not running) with its many pubs and restaurants etc, as well as continuing paths beyond its well worth yhe hike! We had a wonderful time, and the only reason we didn't give the stay 5 stars all round was due to the hiccup on arrival and the lack of local facilities other than the pub, but it was clean, well appointed, and a very relaxing BH weekend away......thank you!

Fabulous place to stay, even in winter.
Fabulous place to stay, even in winter. The view was always a pleasure to wake up to. The only negative was the difficulty in using the washing machine. It was used every day by the owner, so it was not ours to use at our disposal. It was either full of the owners washing, and it was difficult to get hold of her. It didn't state that it was a shared facility in the write up.

Lovely place in fabulous location.
Lovely place in fabulous location. Only a village shop in the next village but there is a super pub within walking distance Not far from the city of Pkymouth but you do need transport. The walks are amazing on the coast path and through the old live gunnery school HMS Cambridge, now owned by the National Trust. The owners are great and very dog friendly.
