'We very much enjoyed our vacation with the grandchildren in California. The weather was great and they enjoyed all of the activities that we were able to undertaken including the beaches, swimming pool, Disneyland and the San Diego zoo. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is FANTASTIC! Right across from Strand beach which connects with Salt Creek Beach which were fun to walk. Dana Headlands nature area with ocean cliff walk is at the end of the street. Walk to town easily with a mile depending on where you want to go. Other city parks and trails close by. Costco and grocery stores with 10 minutes.The owners were friendly, responsive, and helpful. The unit was clean. It had a newer refrigerator and dishwasher as well as newer washer and dryer. There is no A/C but ocean breezes kept it cool. Space heaters in different rooms.Furnishings and the condo is worn, but functional. Master bed was comfortable. Kitchen is tight for 2 people but we made out OK.All in all- we were happy to have this unit in an amazing location.

Beautiful neighborhood

The place was cozy and had everything we needed. It’s across to Salt Creek and the Harbor was terrific. We had several questions when we first arrived and we were responded to immediately. We would definitely staff there next year.

Very NICE!!!

This is a 3 bedroom very nice condo with superb views of the beach. The condo is large, nicely laid out and well-equipped. Multiple rooms with beach views. The owner is responsive and easy to work with. Deposit was returned within one week of the stay. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a great price for a great unit!

Condo was fine for 4 people, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. New washer, dryer, fridge. Kitchen very well equipped. Only needed to pick up wine cork puller ! Location very good. Excellent ocean viewing walking path one minute away. Could walk to downtown restaurants (30 minutes).

3 1/2 month stay at Strand beach

We stayed from mid Dec to end of March. The condo is located in a n excellent location across street from the beach,near restaurants, shopping and walking paths. The floor was poorly cleaned by the cleaning crew when we arrived so I started by cleaning the floor. The owner told me I should have let her know and she would have sent them back to clean it but didn't want to wait. The living room furniture is well used and could be upgraded but adequate. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were comfortable and clean. We had a issue and the owner responded promptly and was available to assist for further issues. We had a wonderful winter as we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and the area.

Very Nice Vacation Rental in an Excellent Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our month-long stay in this condo. It was a very clean unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It had all the amenities we expected and actually exceeded our expectations. It was nicer in person than in the pictures, and 2 of the 3 TVs had recently been upgraded to flat panels. The WiFi connection was good thru-out the unit. We had a couple of minor issues while we were there (trouble with key, Kitchen sink leak), but both were addressed within 2 hours (you can't do any better than that!). The hot water also went out for several hours 1 day and the pool was closed a few days for maintenance, but both of these issues were beyond the unit owner's control and the owner's were very responsive to our inquiries about them. The location is fabulous and you can walk almost everywhere. Overall, the unit is an excellent value for the money. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Worst Experience!! - Renter Beware!!!

Bottom line is that our rental experience at this condo was completely unacceptable. Instead of a relaxing / rejuvenating vacation we were constantly being contacted by the owner to be the go between to get broken items in the condo fixed. For example: • Dishwasher was broken the entire visit. We were forced to deal with multiple parties to try to resolve; to no avail. In fact, one day, we lost part of our day waiting on the plumber that left because the owner chose not to pay for his services. However, no one informed us! We shouldn’t have been dealing with this issue at all. It’s the property owner's responsibility to have a manager that takes care of these issues when they arise. We had to hand wash dishes the entire visit. •Dishes in the cabinets were dirty upon our arrival - GROSS! *Patio had major hole from water repair that brought repair men in •Electricity went out 3 times •Hot water was out for a day •Ceiling fan in guest bedroom was broken •No can opener of any kind in kitchen •Broken hairdryer in guest bath •No portable crib when we arrived. That was additional wasted time for us versus it being in place as promised. •I was on the phone with the owner, Frank, or a repair person EVERY DAY of my vacation…sometimes 3 times per day. I don’t think that’s a vacation when I’m dealing with the condo’s shortcomings. *The crowning moment was when we were singing happy birthday to my husband's mother and 2 repair men joined in. Really? Some vacation!! I’ve rented many times from VRBO and by far this was my worst experience.

A little bit of paradise.

Enjoyed waking up and walk by the beach and looking out to the ocean. The sunsets were beautiful. We did some boat rides in the marina and also visited a concert in the park. The Ritz hotel was a great place to have lunch an watch the waves come in. The best was the cool weather while everyone back home was experience ing 100 degree weather.

Dee’s Condo

Dee’s condo is located in a beautiful area! The condo has lots of sunlight and directly across from Strands Beach and the ocean-we loved that! However, the condo itself could use a little TLC. and attention. We were disappointed that some of the everyday necessities that you would need for a stay, was not supplied. We went ahead and purchased the items ourselves needed for us and future guests. The neighbors are very nice in the connecting units!

Best possible location!!

We stayed for nearly 2 months and we enjoyed it very much. The apartment is in the best possible location and the neighborhood and neighbors are wonderful. You have immediate access to the beach and with a short walk you will find plenty of restaurants. Grocery shopping is in reach within 5-10 minutes by car. The apartment is well equipped. Some of the furnitures are a little dated but you will find everything you are looking for. The only concern for some of the future renters might be the circumstances that the owner/tenant upstairs takes his DAILY shower at 5.45 am.....sunshine or rain.....Monday or Saturday. They also use the bathroom at least 3 times a night and you can hear them using the bathroom and flushing the water. If you have a good sleep that might not be an issue but I woke up early every day. The property manager is very responsive and friendly!! Overall it was a very pleasant stay with no issues!!

Love this ocean view retreat!

The location of this unit was perfect for the two of us and for our grandchildren who came to visit. There is a grassy area right outside this lower unit to sit or play on. We are right across the street from the parking lot that overlooks Strands Beach and the furnicular entrance to the beach. The unit is cozy and comfortable with plenty of natural light for a lower unit. The owners were responsive to our needs. We hope to stay here again!

Fabulous ocean breeze condo!

Many thanks to owners Dee, and husband Frank, for their immediate responsivness to questions upon our arrival. We escaped 2 months of Arizona's summer heat to enjoy the very comfortable open air condo, Dana Point, beaches, restaurants, parks, pool, people, the wharf, two near-by Trader Joe's, and so much more. Excellent Stay!!!

I stayed at this condo for about 45 days during March and April and loved every minute of it. It is literally right across the street from the entrance to Strands Beach, is very quiet, and had everything I could ever want or need while I was there. Everything in the unit worked perfectly. The ocean breezes blow right through the unit creating a beautiful cool retreat. I would stay here over and over again!

Wonderful vacation rental!

We truly enjoyed staying here for the month of Januray. We especially liked the location, near the beach and harbor, next to a park and bike/walking trail. We used the trail and the tennis courts the most. Our condo was comfortable, clean, well stocked,quiet and has designated parking right outside. Dana Point is a fun community with great restaurants and fun activities. We went to the marina and harbor several times per week. We give Dee and her place our highest recommendation.
