Beautiful location to explore North Wales. We had a wonderful stay, the property was lovely. Everything you needed, very spacious and lovely view. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Magical view of the wharf, Snowdonia and Ffestiniog railway
The location is superb and so interesting to look from the balcony over the sea, mountains and Welsh Highland. Railway. Never a dull moment….a great for bird watching.
The interior of the property is very pleasant. It doesn’t want for anything. So well equipped.
The exterior (front door and balcony) could do with an update to match the interior standards.
Highly recommend a stay.
We hope to return.
We had such a lovely week there.
A great place to stay, handy for the narrow gauge railways in Porthmadog, all three are a short walk away. Handy for the shops and eating out.
A well-presented property in excellent order.
As Ffestiniog Railway members and keen bird watchers this location is absolutely perfect. Easily the best view form a holiday property I think we've ever had. So much to see we found ourselves not wanting to venture out much further than the balcony. We even managed to spot one of the Glaslyn Ospreys fishing over Y Cob,
The flat is superb - very well appointed and cared for. The first floor living room means you get the best of the view and light. Beds comfy, towels and bedding all clean. Smart bathroom with good shower. Friendly neighbours and being just minutes from the centre of town meant the car had a rest as well as us. A minor sink leak was fixed within 24 hours when I dropped the owner a line about it. Friendly and helpful comms with the owner ahead, during and after our stay.
We've booked for next year and can't wait! 5* +!

Fantastic holiday and location could not fault but just be sure to clean up immaculately afterwards
Fantastic holiday and location could not fault but just be sure to clean up immaculately afterwards as received a message from the owner on the way home that we had left the place in a mess and was being reported to cottages .com which we believe was totally unjustified

We returned to this apartment again and as usual had a great time despite some wet weather. If you enjoy trains and mountains this is the place for you. It is obviously popular and maybe it is that which has taken its toll on some of the fittings.

We loved our week here.
We loved our week here. It’s a lovely cottage with a balcony that is just metres from the railway station and overlooks the estuary were you could watch the egrets and oystercatchers feeding. The cottage was really nicely presented and had everything we needed for the week. Porthmadog is a great location with the beach at Black Rocks Sands just 10 minutes drive away and the mountains just a few minutes in the other direction.
We really enjoyed the coast path around Borth y Gest which is a short walk from the cottage. We also enjoyed a trip to the Bunny Farm at Criccieth and the day we spent down in Barmouth. We had a great time and we hope to stay here again in the future.

A return visit to a fantastic train spotting location.
A return visit to a fantastic train spotting location. The flat is well equipped, clean and bright and offers a great base to just watch the little trains, or explore the beautiful countryside, beaches and hills around.
