Set in a peaceful setting, yet with easy access to the A1, just outside the village of Longhirst, but close to Longhirst’s 18-hole golf course, which is open to the public. Only 3 miles from the pretty and historic market town of Morpeth, with its great selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and riverside rowing boats. The nature conservation site of Duridge Bay is just 5 miles away. Beach 5 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We loved our stay at abbey cottage.
We loved our stay at abbey cottage. The rooms were really comfortable for sleeping and plenty of seating in the living room.
The room upstairs was perfect for my baby sleeping in a cot who could be tucked round the corner where it was a bit darker.
Cresswell beach was lovely and Morpeth also convenient to go to for supermarkets and to wander round the park.

The cottage is lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable.
The cottage is lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children, and there was plenty of room with 2 huge settees in the lounge and a large dining table- the living area is open plan and works well. The three bedrooms were a decent size and comfortable. Ideally placed to visit the sights, near the coast and close to the main points of interest. Would definitely recommend the cottage if you want to explore Northumberland!
