Trips to Coquet Island are a wonderful treat in the summer, or alternatively take a walk along the coastal path to Warkworth to see the castle and riverside, a lovely morning out. Nearby Alnwick is home to the famous castle used in the Harry Potter films, whilst the heritage coast line Area of Natural Beauty stretches from here up to Berwick-on-Tweed.
