This is a great place for a romantic break or as a base for exploring the area.

Nearby attractions include day boat hire on the Broads; the medieval city of Norwich with its cathedral, castle and fine shops and restaurants; the seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, with its famous pier, beach huts and Adnams brewery; and bird watching at RSPB Minsmere. A short walk uphill to the town centre, supermarkets, local shops, pubs, a street market on Friday mornings, bus and railway stations, and downhill to the quay and the river for fishing, boating, extensive riverside walks and cycling at Dunwich Heath. Lovely cosy cottage

The property was very quaint with lots of original features. It was comfortable and warm and spotlessly clean. Very friendly hosts and a small welcome pack on arrival. It is in a good location with close access to public transport if you want to leave the car behind. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Quaint, very cleverly furnished to suit the age and original purpose of the property, loved its quirkiness. Blessing was the en suite upstairs as you did not have to negotiate the stairs in the night.

Cosy character cottage, furnished in traditional style, suiting the property.

Cosy character cottage, furnished in traditional style, suiting the property. Spotlessly clean and everything you could need provided, including a welcome gift of tea, coffee and biscuits. Plenty to see and do in Beccles, many restaurants and pubs for wining and dining. Hosts, Sue and Chris, are friendly and helpful and always on hand if needed. They are full of local knowledge and can suggest things to do. An excellent retreat for a relaxing break.

Good base for cycling - there was a covered area for storage of bikes.

Good base for cycling - there was a covered area for storage of bikes. Central location and handy for restaurants and shops. Easy to walk from cottage to areas in the Broads Park. Although on a busy road, traffic noise was not a problem at nights, though it was cold, so windows were shut!
