Surrounded by farmland, the lodge provides an ideal base from which to explore the Northern Lakes with the historic town of Penrith, the famous Rheged Discovery Centre, the picturesque Aira Force and the Ullswater steamers all within a short drive.

centrally located with easy access from M6.

centrally located with easy access from M6. Cottage was comfortable although needs a little freshen up. Guests with pets could refrain from disrespecting this lodge and not allow them into the beds as we found too many dog hairs in one of the single beds. Couldn't get the microwave oven to work! but was no real inconvenience. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

We have holidayed at this lodge on a number of occasions now.

We have holidayed at this lodge on a number of occasions now. We return because the lodge provides all the home comforts you would want such as a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Its well presented and in a good location near to Penrith and the north lakes. They take pets too and it has an enclosed balcony where the dogs can wander. All in all a great place to stay .

Lovely lodge.

Lovely lodge. Extremely homely and such helpful owners nearby. I did have to improvise for a salad bowl plus servers but that's all part of the fun. I notice that someone expressed a concern previously about the double bed being uncomfortable. I'd like to point out l suffer with severe back problems myself and this was absolutely one of the most comfortable beds l have ever slept on and we have stayed in many cottages.
