Lots of character and a lovely location

A really characterful cottage with lots of atmosphere, large rooms, lovely views and a good garden. The kitchen equipment is simple but all of good quality. One of the best things about the cottage is its proximity to good walks and the fact that the village is connected by public transport.

We had a lovely time in this cottage with its thick walls and wrap-around garden.

We had a lovely time in this cottage with its thick walls and wrap-around garden. It was warm and clean and in a great position with an excellent pub at the end of the road!

A great place to stay in a fantastic location.

A great place to stay in a fantastic location. Comfort/equipment scored 8 as there's no wifi, but that's a minor niggle, we'll definitely be back here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Highbury Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Highbury Cottage. Lovely views from garden and front of the cottage. Very well equipped. Perhaps wifi would be handy, but we mafprtab;e bnaged without. Comfortable beds and lounge furniture. Very clean. Hathersage has everything you need for a holiday. Please note that towels are provided even though it states on website that they aren't.

Warm, clean & comfortable cottage with lots of character.

Warm, clean & comfortable cottage with lots of character. Sunny garden. Peaceful. Excellent location - no need to use the car all week. Local shops provide all you need & there is a variety of places to eat out. Country walks from the door. The village is served by buses & trains to explore further afield in the Peaks and into Sheffield.

A delightful cottage, in an attractive position, welcoming, comfortable and well-equipped.

A delightful cottage, in an attractive position, welcoming, comfortable and well-equipped. Some instructions about where to find the electricity meter (the existence of which it is easy to overlook when reading the original description of the cottage, as we did, shocked when we were suddenly plunged into darkness) and a torch would have been helpful but this minor shortcoming certainly did not detract from the pleasure of the stay.
