We had a wonderful week at this cottage. Beautifully furnished and decorated. It provided everything we needed, including wonderful homemade bread and macaroons. It was close enough to Inverness but also ideal for us to head further north. We were returning to an area I grew up in and it will be a cottage we will definitely return to in the future.

An excellent holiday.
An excellent holiday. Cottage better than expected. WiFi generally good but a few occasions when Internet slow or non existent. However we warned that Internet connection in the Highlands can be problematic.

We had a lovely 4 day break in this beautiful very tastefully decorated lodge.
We had a lovely 4 day break in this beautiful very tastefully decorated lodge. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you would need and more. Lovely touches around especially the homemade bread, scones and croissants. Will definitely be back, as great base for some lovely trips in a beautiful part of Scotland. Big thanks to Catherine & Carl.

We were welcomed by gifts of fresh eggs and home made bread, scones and jam by the owner, which was a lovely surprise, thank you.
Paterson Cottage has been beautifully renovated to a high standard and was spotlessly clean and well equipped, both inside and out. It is really well located for cycling and walking, with easy access to the Black Isle, Inverness, Moray beaches etc, with lovely small villages/cafes and quiet back roads. This area has more diverse amenities than the Cairngorms and we would definitely recommend it.
It is situated close to the A835, Ullapool road, so some periodic traffic noise, but this would not put us off staying again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paterson Cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paterson Cottage. The cottage was very clean, cosy and had a lovely view over the surrounding fields and hills.it was very well located for exploring the local area and beyond. It is close to a busy trunk road, but this did not bother us in any way. The cottage is well decorated and Catherine was very welcoming. There were lots of great touches to the cottage and we really enjoyed the home baking left on arrival. We would definitely return and recommend Paterson cottage.

This is a lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside.
This is a lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside. It is well equipped and comfortable. There was a high standard of cleanliness which made us feel safe in these unpredictable times. Bread and croissants supplied at the beginning of our stay were delicious. The only drawback is the cottage is set back from a very busy road.

Lovely cottage on the Black Aisle.
Lovely cottage on the Black Aisle. Cozy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great log burning stove. Sits just off a main road, can be noisy during the day but much quieter at night. No wifi available but suited the kind of relaxing week we were after.

Highly recommended.
Highly recommended. Stayed for a week, as a base to tour the west coast. Close to Inverness, very clean, and everything required for our stay was thought of.
Owners were lovely, and even cooked some homemade bread for us. A real home from home.

A great place to stay providing easy access to Moray, the North East and North West coasts of Scotland. Very comfortable and local amenities not far away. Only down side was close proximity of main road but it did quieten down after dark.
