Small lawned garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking. No smoking.. Dating from the 18th century, this charming semi-detached cottage was originally the village smithy and now makes a comfortable holiday home just a short drive from the many amenities in the fishing village of Amlwch, with its pretty harbour. Close by are glorious sandy beaches and the coastal path which affords excellent walking opportunities. A sea zoo, Beaumaris Castle and boat trips for fishing and puffin watching are all a short drive. Day trips to Ireland and the Snowdonia National Park are easily accessible...

Beautiful holiday cottage, very clean and everything you could need.

Beautiful holiday cottage, very clean and everything you could need. Cottage is in a peaceful village away from tourism. There is a tiny local beach and lovely walks up at the copper mine. Nearby Amlwch has a friendly Spar and Coop for grocery needs and Penysarn village shop. Would not recommend the takeaway food available in Amlwch, you are better off driving to Benllech for things like fish & chips.

Our 4th visit to Hen Efail.

Our 4th visit to Hen Efail. Main reason for booking is that it allows 2 dogs and is easily accessible to dog friendly beaches we like. Cemaes Bay, Lligwy and Newborough. Very tastefully renovated with character.
