We had a lovely week at Swiss cottage. The owners were kind and helpful. It is set in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to the sea. The premises were in great condition with all the equipment necessary for a great holiday. Looking forward to visiting again.

Gorgeous cottage, full of character, with well equipped kitchen and gorgeous gazebo in the back gard
Gorgeous cottage, full of character, with well equipped kitchen and gorgeous gazebo in the back garden - brilliant for playing games in. We felt so relaxed from day one. Beds cosy and super comfy. The location is just brilliant too... there's the stunning pebble beach in Seatown, just down the road, with the very welcoming Anchor Inn overlooking the beach, and The George just a short walk up the main road in Chideock. Bridport's market days are Wednesday and Saturday and worth a visit - lots of stalls both up the main road and off to the left / right of the guild hall (?) and two very lovely old bookshops. Very happy indeed with our stay at Swiss Cottage and would love to stay again.

Lovely quaint cottage .
Lovely quaint cottage . Thick walls and small windows do make it dark but we didn’t spend much time in. Kitchen well equipped. House very clean where it mattered i.e. in kitchen and bathrooms. A few spider webs but nothing that you wouldn’t expect in a holiday home. Beds very comfortable. Cute garden. Steep stairs. Layout as you would expect for an old house...lots of small rooms and doors which wasn’t so good with a toddler. But overall lovely.
Great position and only 15 minute walk to sea and a lovely pub. Good location for visiting local area.

Cottage is quaint, great location as can walk to beach, shop and pub.
Cottage is quaint, great location as can walk to beach, shop and pub.
It is very well equipped and roomy, with nice garden.
Couple negatives: parking is tricky for 2 cars, downstairs shower doesn't clear easily so can only have very quick shower.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday stay at Swiss Cottage.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday stay at Swiss Cottage. It is in a good location for walks down to the sea and coastal walks, which we enjoyed with our dog. The garden is good for people with children / dogs as it is enclosed. We loved the sun room overlooking the garden for chilling out after walks in the evening. The pub round the corner ( Clockhouse Inn ) serves good pub food and means you don't have to get the car out for an evening meal.
There were a few small issues with cleanliness. The kitchen bin was very dirty when I removed the bin liner to empty it, and the last visitors cigarette nubs were still in the garden. Also a toy was under the sideboard in the dining room and the floor was not very clean in there.
The front door lock was very stiff when entering with the key. The back door was also very stiff to lock from the inside.
The settees in the living room were very 'sinking'.
However the beds are very comfortable and all the linen very clean.
Thank you.

Lovely base to stay. Accommodating owners as we needed double bed splitting to singles. Well received welcome pack! Thank you.
