Enjoying glorious views and spectacular sunsets over Cardigan Bay, this delightful detached property is perfect for summer holidays and relaxing winter escapes, with a tree and decorations supplied for Christmas bookings. Set in the grounds of the owner’s home, located near Barmouth’s interesting shops, pubs, restaurants, seaside attractions and attractive harbour. As well as being outstandingly beautiful, the surrounding landscape of the Snowdonia National Park offers a wonderful range of outdoor activities and attractions including superb walking, fabulous golden sandy beaches, impressive castles and nostalgic steam train trips. Harlech, with its magnificent castle and championship golf course, is just 9 miles away. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.

My husband and I have stayed at Morlais many times now and it never disappoints.

My husband and I have stayed at Morlais many times now and it never disappoints. It is a cosy, well thought out cottage, a literal ‘home from home’. Jayne and Rob have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble for them. We tend to stay out of season so Barmouth itself is fairly quiet at that time and our dog has the full run of the beach. There’s lots of walks to do nearby, the Panorama walk and the Mawddach trail are just two that you can do from Barmouth. We will return every year as much as we’re able, we never tire of the cottage or the views from it, we love Morlais!

This was a wonderful 4 night break for us straight after the first lockdown was lifted.

This was a wonderful 4 night break for us straight after the first lockdown was lifted. We were warmly welcomed and the cottage had everything we could have asked for. We even had poo bags, dog treats and a blanket for the dogs, lovely touch. The views were beautiful and it was an easy walk along the seafront into Barmouth. We would highly recommend this property. Jayne and Rob are lovely hosts and easy to contact. There are many lovely walks nearby and is close to snowdonia national park. There are lovely pubs for food and drink in Barmouth, we would recommend ‘The last inn’ and the Barmouth bar and grill was lovely too. We would definitely recommend staying here. Morlais is a beautiful, private cottage in a perfect and peaceful location. Jayne and Rob are lovely people, and told us on arrival to just ask if we needed anything, but they have thought of absolutely everything! They have got everything just right in the cottage, tastefully decorated, homely, spotlessly clean, comfortable seats and bed, (probably the best I have ever slept on!), even some lovely snacks to welcome us and our dogs on arrival. So thoughtful. The sea views were stunning and we enjoyed watching some stormy waves from the comfort of the cottage and some spectacular sunsets from the garden area. The beach and promenade are 5 minutes down a lovely little path and from there you can enjoy a nice walk into Barmouth. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore many parts of Wales, but we have visited many times and this time we went purely for a break and relaxation and that's what we had. We were able to leave the car behind and enjoy the local surroundings and amenities on foot. We would like to thank Jayne and Rob very much for being dog friendly, so much appreciated.
