About this property
Romantic and cosy cottage, countryside views, near to the beach and mountains
Ty Golchi is our most recent project and was completed in June 2019. Ty Golchi translates to 'Wash House' in English. Sure enough this Grade ll cottage started it's humble beginnings in the 1750's as the wash house to Ty'n Llan which is the parish house of Llanfair.
Ty Golchi has been completely renovated this year and has been transformed into a cosy and romantic one bedroom property. the lounge is open plan to the kitchen and dining area. There is a separate bedroom with a lovely en suite shower room. The cottage holds a wealth of charm, to include natural stone, a welsh oak 'A' frame beam and three foot thick walls. The refurbishment has been completed with modern fittings, mixing old and new, the kitchen is well fitted with everything that you will need for a self catering holiday and the bathroom has a fully tiled double shower with high rain shower and separate hand held shower head. All of the furniture is new, and the soft furnishings have been sourced to add a touch of luxury and colour.
North Wales' coast and mountains are just two of its most valuable assets, and you can enjoy both of them from this charming cottage. Sitting within the grounds of the owners' own home, it's a fantastic holiday home for a couple looking for a relaxing and romantic, peaceful holiday. Lovingly and sympathetically renovated to a high standard, the cottage is beautifully maintained and well presented with great attention to detail and original features. This is the perfect place to sit back, let your shoulders drop and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this stunning place. With little light pollution, you can stargaze long into the night, and if you’re lucky, you’ll hear the owls wake up as you wind down. There’s a lot to do around the area. You have the choice of two beaches within walking distance, or just a two minute drive away. Harlech, with its castle, stunning beach and world famous links golf course, Royal St. David, is just over a mile away. The breathtaking Snowdonia National Park is right on your doorstep and the seaside resorts of Barmouth and Criccieth are also within easy reach. There’s also Porthmadog, where you can hop onto the Ffestiniog railway, sit back, and enjoy the stunning scenery and be taken back in time as the world famous steam train chugs its way through the mountains. Portmeirion is also nearby, with its magical Italianate village overlooking the white sandy beaches of the Dwyryd Estuary. For the more adventurous, there's also lots to do, from cycling and pony trekking, to the famous Zip World, with its 100 mile per hour ride. This is a perfect location from which to explore this delightful area any time of the year.

We had a marvellous couple of days thank you and your little cottage is a cracker. Very quaint, scrupulously clean and cleverly designed. We loved it, and may well return again soon.
Perfect cottage for a couple. Cosy, compact beautifully decorated & immaculately clean. Hosts couldn’t be more helpful. Fantastic area with stunning scenery, great beaches & places to see. Good recommendations for restaurants etc. The best we’ve stayed at for a while. Can’t recommend the area and the cottage highly enough !!!
Gorgeous little gem of a cottage. Spotlessly clean, super cosy and really well kitted out. We love to cook and there was everything we could have ever needed in the kitchen. Comfy bed, fluffy towels, and great to see all the environmentally friendly touches. We'd happily book here again and for longer than 2 nights.
Gorgeous little cottage in perfect location. Super comfy bed, good shower, very clean, lovely and warm. Friendly and helpful host. Met up with old friends, thoroughly enjoyed our break.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a well equipped kitchen and delightful garden. Great location close to two beaches with walks from the doorstep and train and bus for exploring further afield. Friendly and thoughtful hosts, will definitely be booking again.
We just stayed for a couple of days, the cottage is so cosy and welcoming, the attention to detail is great, my husband and I had a really relaxing stay and plenty of areas to explore nearby. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Wales.
Beautiful little property located a short distance from the beach. The cottage is well presented with all the amenities you would need. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would 100% stay again. Highly recommended you would not be disappointed with your stay here
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful, cozy cottage. It’s a true haven of tranquility, perfectly positioned with superb coastal walks right on your doorstep – ideal for peaceful rambles along the shore and soaking in the fresh sea air.The cottage itself is charming and wonderfully comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing escape. The log-burning stove was a highlight, especially on cooler evenings. Gary was an absolute star – he kindly delivered wood for the fire and was always available at any time if we needed anything. His friendly, helpful nature made us feel so welcome and looked after. This place is a genuine peaceful gem, the perfect spot to get away from the chaos of everyday life and just unwind. We can’t recommend it highly enough! And don’t miss a visit to the Victoria Inn pub – great atmosphere, lovely food, and the ideal place for a cozy pint or meal after a day exploring the coast. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for a memorable stay.
The property was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Tasteful decor and finish. Beautiful garden and views from the rear. The property sits on the most fantastic coastline and is well situated for visits across Snowdonia, and Anglesey isn't too far away.We really enjoyed our stay.
