. Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Brigham, these former farm buildings date back to the 1700s and have been lovingly converted to provide wonderful holiday homes. All the properties feature cosy underfloor heating as well as wood burners - ideal for those cooler evenings. Especially suitable for families with young children, the cottages have been individually decorated - each having been carefully designed. Outside, there are shared one-acre landscaped grounds to enjoy, with seating and a charcoal barbecue outside each cottage, which makes a perfect place for a summer picnic.
Ideal for families, as children and adults alike can enjoy farm life, gathering eggs for breakfast and feeding the friendly horse, sheep, goats and guinea pigs on the children’s farm. For older children there is shared use of a games room with a full-size snooker table and table tennis, whilst for the younger ones, a large sand pit, pedal tractors, trailers and diggers and various outdoor games are available. Within the locality there are also a number of golf courses, and riding stables are 10 miles away. Set alongside the Driffield Canal, it is the perfect location for those who enjoy ‘messing about on the river’, as there is a small jetty for those who wish to bring their own canoes or small boats and fishing is nearby.
Brigham village is noted in the Domesday Book and lies as a sleepy hamlet, yet just a few miles distant is the historical market town of Driffield. Delightful York (30 miles) is always a pleasure to visit, with plenty to do and see for the whole family. The magnificent minster dominates the city, which is full of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Together with the Jorvik Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum, this historic city makes for an entertaining day out.
For lovers of the outdoors, there are numerous walks for all standards including gentle strolls along the banks of the canal, coastal walks or taking in the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. The beaches of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey are easily accessible, and Hornsea with its ‘Freeport Shopping Centre’ is also well worth a visit. The area boasts a number of stately homes, as well as theatres and cinemas. Shop within 2½ miles. Several pubs/restaurants within 3 miles.
This property, The Byre (IJW), Meadow View (IJV), The Granary (IJY) can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests and are suitable for families, whilst allowing privacy of their own accommodation.

For our group and at this time The Granary was near perfect.
For our group and at this time The Granary was near perfect. The owner’s attention to detail is outstanding. What a ‘tick box’ review can’t reflect though are the personal touches exemplified by Will who welcomed us on arrival, provided fresh laid eggs, fed the animals and even mowed the lawns! We met the owner once - charming and helpful. Covid prevented frequent contact. Their anti virus measures are spot on with hand sanitisers at the entrance to the property and to every barn where toys and games were played. Sanitiser and paper towels were also provided to sanitise toys, bats, ride-ons etc. before and after use. When we left all bedding inc. duvets & pillows, and towels were placed in a bag and sent to the laundry. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a fantastic time.
We had a fantastic time. The farm equipment fir the kids was great scooters bikes sand pit full of toys . Room to kick a ball, goal posts. The animals ours loved most were the goats and chickens. In our opinion the downstairs exceeded our expectations, kitchen had a lovely clean oven etc every pan and more.. The living room was spacious and tastefully done with 4 sofas, fantastic. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds and the ensuite bedroom was spacious, the other double and 2 twins had the low beams, and whilst we knew it said 'low' ,they are really low, we had to leave landing lights on incase anyone got up in the night, while this didnot spoil our holiday it did cause a niggle as my daughter had her baby in the double and had to get up in the night, she did bang her head on 2 occasions.
