It's not just that Ganny House and Ganny Cottage are cosy, warm, well equipped, tastefully decorated
It's not just that Ganny House and Ganny Cottage are cosy, warm, well equipped, tastefully decorated and homely - the main reason we love these properties (and have re-visted several times over the years) is that they are in a beautiful part of the south western lakes - the eskdale valley. It's not too spoilt by busy tourism as some areas are, rather it has gentle walks and stunning scenery. You can walk from the properties from the front door all the way down the valley to Boot.. with a choice of nice pubs for lunch.. and Stanley Ghyll waterfall is on the same walk. Wast Water is also a short drive away.. the deepest of all the lakes.. very spooky and atmospheric. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had an excellent stay at the Cottage and really enjoyed the remote and beautiful location.
We had an excellent stay at the Cottage and really enjoyed the remote and beautiful location. The cottage was the perfect location for quiet walks but we could also drive to nearby tourist locations quite easily. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The only downside we found was that the bathroom was downstairs, which would not have been a problem usually, but I was pregnant at the time and needing to use it more frequently at night. We would happily return for a lovely relaxing stay. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
