This delightful double fronted holiday cottage on a quiet lane, has been refurbished, yet retains the original character. Situated in an elevated position, it is located in the village of Grindleford, with the local pub just a short stroll down the lane and plenty of walks from the door. Within a few miles of Hathersage, with its open air swimming pool, the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and the plague village of Eyam. Golf nearby. Shop 1½ miles, pub 200 yards.

We had a lovely week at Bank Cottage.

We had a lovely week at Bank Cottage. It is situated up a private lane with a lovely view and very quiet. The cottage is well appointed, clean and fresh with lovely comfy beds with nice linen. Jane popped in on the first day and was really helpful and full of information about the area should you need it. I think it worth a mention that the Sir William down the road was a big disappointment. We went there for a meal but only went once. It was not worth the money and not very nice.

Lovely family friendly cottage

We had a wonderful stay. The owners had thought of almost everything a family would need, including a high chair, travel cot and non-slip mats for the bath. They also included essentials… tea, sugar, milk, washing up equipment and cake! Thank you. It looks exactly as it does in the photos… except the lounge is nicer in person! The only inaccuracy with the listing is that the filters say it has a pool. I knew it didn’t from reading the listing; there is a public outdoor pool in nearby Hathersage that our kids loved though. Just brace yourself that it feels cold, even though it’s heated.
